I have stayed here twice 5 years apart! The latest stay was with my 2 year old and it is still as good as I remembered. The design of this place and attention to detail upon checking-in is impressive. During winter, the open fires and complimentary mulled wine is a good touch. So remote but worth it. The food options are plenty on site. The breakfast is opulent. The best infinity pool you will ever swim in too! My toddler enjoyed the playground too.

We had an incredible two night stay. We wish we had booked a 3rd night. The property is beautiful with incredible views. We were lucky to have a clear day when we arrived and could see for miles the beautiful landscape. The food on property was very good. Breakfast had a great selection. Our only complaint was the contracted Topas Mountain Express transfer service. The vehicle wasn’t as new as indicated and there was nothing “express” about it. Our drivers both ways were very slow and poked along well below the posted speed limits.

Incredible place up in the hills, real luxury, everything was fantastic. We went for my wife's 40th and were treated like royalty. Highly recommend

In general the hotel was very beautiful, amazing view, nice room with balcony. Staff was very kind, and there were cute little details like the tea in the room, cute markers for soap :) The hot infinity pool is a very good idea, and they have nice facilities where it is very comfortable to take a shower and get ready in the pool area after you check out. Breakfast was very good too. We were kind of expecting these since the photos looked amazing, and the hotel is high priced. Massage: was average, I was expecting a better one. The dinner was lower than my expectation. The price was really high when compared with the food. We ate in the 360 restaurant. We ordered a meat and it was really good, we ordered the same again and the second was cooked totally different. The second was surprisingly bad, we could not understand how the same food can be this different, as a feedback to the chef. And there is no siders for the meat, you order it seperately. So the meat comes all alone on a plate. I think there should either be some default siders, or yo choose them but it must be served with the meat included in the price. You can order extra sider as you wish. No bread/butter etc served before the dinner, you order that too. It was also hard to communicate with the staff including the therapists in spa. The therapist in the spa could not understand me at all :) However, since they were very kind, we did not make a deal. But for other guests, this may be an issue.

The hotel itself was perfectly fine, however I had some very serious money issues with this place that I feel duly obligated to share. I encourage everyone staying here to check your bank statements!! The room (pool villa) was nice enough, clean and spacious. Food was fine, if you’re coming off of Hanoi’s street food scene you’ll likely find it a bit bland but everything was well presented and good portion sizes. First money issue - coming as a solo traveler, I asked beforehand the cost for doing a solo guided hike and was quoted $109 usd. Note that I specifically asked for a private solo guided hike, and was assured that was the cost of a private one person guided hike, via email, which I have screenshots of these emails. I was told if I ended up joining a group hike, it would be $77. Upon arrival, the cost magically jumped to $187 usd. I asked about the difference in cost, and was never given an explanation other than saying it was a solo supplement - obviously I understand there’s going to be higher costs for a solo hike, but the price for two hikers would be $154 (77 x 2) while the price for just me would be $187?!? That’s more than the cost for two hikers … I decided to just eat the cost and accept the higher price for the hike. Second money issue - I had originally booked their hotel shuttle service to get back to Hanoi. Shortly after booking (and weeks before my stay) I emailed back and requested to cancel for a refund. I received email confirmation that they would cancel it, but couldn’t process it at the time and would wait until I arrived. I responded that it was fine, and felt ok with it since I had the email confirmation that I could cancel. After arriving and reminding them that I wanted to cancel the ride, they told me …. That it’s too late to cancel, despite me cancelling weeks ago?!? That they would be keeping my money. I told them that I had already cancelled it weeks ago. I showed them the email, which was signed by a member of their staff with the staff members name and picture. They then had the audacity to claim that they didn’t know who the person writing the email was ……. Even though it had her name and picture… they then told me that they weren’t quite understanding what I was asking due to a language barrier. At this point I was a bit frustrated so asked to speak to a manager or someone with better English. I was told no and had to continue to struggle to ask for the money they stole from me, back. I totally, 100% support hiring locals but at the same time feel it’s wholly unfair that just because there’s a language barrier, they get to scam me out of fifty US dollars… My suitcase was also delivered to the wrong room. They apologized profusely for this, which is quite funny to me. They apologized for this small mistake which wasn’t a big deal, but no one ever apologized for trying to steal money from me. Although the views are cool, the money issues left quite a bad taste in my mouth and I do not recommend this pl

After a really difficult year my son and I spent two weeks in Vietnam. Our adventure started at the EcoLodge and wow what a start. Opening the curtains to those mountain views was inspiring. A very relaxing time with amazing walks through the terraced paddy fields. The people of the area were so welcoming summed up by the amazing welcome we received on arrival. Sundowners at the Stilt House with local tradition to wind down after the day… Breakfast was amazing at the 360deg restaurant starting the day on a solid footing.

Great experience at Topas Ecolodge! We stayed for two nights and had a great time. Multiple restaurants on site, our favorite was the stilt house. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING! Overall, great views, excellent food, and wonderful staff. Special thanks to Dung, Quynh, Huynh, Duyen, Ky, and Nen at the Stilt House!

This was an incredible three night stay. From our initial enquires via email to our check out, the whole experience was brilliant. Rooms were lovely, views superb. We booked the smallest villa and I’m sure we had the best views. Staff were really friendly. Local villagers are employed and the lodge is really clear that may have some language challenges but it adds so much to the stay. Great tours and food and lovely extras like the sunset drinks. The spa and the pool add to the luxury.
