Hotel Quintessence

Mont Tremblant|0.3km from Mission Liberté
It was hard to find just the right word for the title of this review as Hotel Quintessence’ name does represent the standard of this hotel well but doesn’t also cover the warmth and serenity it exudes. We felt that Mont Tremblant is not only French speaking but really is very French in culture too , which made all the difference in our experience in staying at Hôtel Quintessence. The sense of professionalism in Hospitality of the staff was of a European standard but more than that was their charming nature - the first we have found since moving to Nth America When we arrived we were greeted at front door by the lovely Sebastian who also saw us off at the end of our stay and the most welcoming reception staff had our check-in processed super fast. All of the staff, from our first phone call to arrange skiing lessons to a possible cancellation (from our end,) were personable, polite and efficient. Of course, all of this was made extra fun by being greeted in French and then trying out our French in return. The location of the hotel is also perfect! Right on the lake and across the street from the upper end of the village - so 30 seconds away from everything but also not on top of the noise and activity of the village. Finally, the room and food which is most important in our eyes were exceptional!! Luckily for us we were upgraded from our suite to the Presidential Suite which had three fireplaces and an outdoor spa! Everyday the fires were restocked so we had plenty of wood to burn. The rooms were stunningly decorated in a traditional style but we’re clean and updated and everything was so comfy. Bottled water, Wine and Macaroons were waiting for us when we arrived and then the water and chocolates were delivered every evening after. Slippers and Robes were also provided. We ate Breakfast here most days and the Crispy French Toast was like nothing I have ever tasted before! The coffee, (espresso,) is actually good, too! My husband said the in-house smoked salmon was also the best he had ever had. We dined in for dinner the first night and it did not disappoint either. Our waitress was very nice and made our night all the better for it and our meals came right on time. Best of all, the Lava Cake actually was lava like in the middle much to my husband’s excitement - often they are overdone. I could say so much more about the lake views, skiing and other activities but you should check it out for yourself! I highly recommended Hôtel Quintessence!

Several of our friends have traveled from the United States to the United States. First of all, the location of this hotel is not bad. Then it is convenient to stop at the hotel. The location is good. We found it very quickly. Thanks to Ctrip for assistance.

The hotel is at the entrance to the scenic area, reducing the hassle of towing luggage, and the cable car is also very close. The room was nice with a little surprise on popcorn. Duplex room, a staircase to carry luggage, the environment is very quiet.

The hotel is rustic but gets the job done. No frills, but great value for the price. Highlights were the gas fireplace, hot tub for après ski, and proximity to the gondola that takes you to the base of the mountain. You could be at the chair lift in 5 min from stepping out the door. Amenities were fairly sp****, beds just so-so, towels stiff, not enough outlets by the beds, no bar or restaurant at the hotel. But the drawbacks were overshadowed by the value and the location. You could stay at the Fairmont for twice the price, but you spend all your time on the mountain anyway, not in the hotel room. We parked in the heated parking garage under the hotel and didn’t use our car once. You can walk everywhere in the village within 5-10min. The skiing was fantastic, ski school for the kiddos was perfect, and if you order lift tickets ahead of time you can request that they deliver them directly to the hotel. Great trip, we’ll be back!

We stayed here over this past Christmas holiday (2022). The property itself is spread out over several buildings. Each building is 2 stories and contains 6+ units. Each unit has it's own private entrance and some have their own private porch. As such, there are no elevators. And because of the separate buildings, there are no porters or doorman or bellhops or dollies to help with your luggage. If you're assigned a 2nd floor unit (as we were), you'll have to carry your own stuff from the parking lot to the unit. Fortunately the parking lots for each building are close enough to the unit entrances such that even if your unit's entrance is on the side, it's not that far of a walk. Unfortunately, there are no assigned parking spots, so if the spot closest to your unit is occupied, too bad. The main building contains all the amenities - front desk, hot tub, pool, games, etc. And depending on your unit's location, it's either the next building over or a few buildings away. Our unit was in the building farthest away from the main building. We would have to either drive to the main building or take a 10-15 minute walk if we wanted to use the hot tub or other resort amenities. We booked a 2 bedroom unit. It was so worth it. The place was huge and very roomy for a family of 4. There was a gas fireplace, well appointed kitchen, huge living room and an equally large dining table. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept well. The Wifi was strong and we didn't have any issues connecting or streaming videos. The nice touch was a mudroom entrance with a bench so one could take off your snow-covered clothing/shoes without tracking that stuff into the unit. What's missing are coat hangers so that we could leave our snow-covered coats there. The resort runs a shuttle to Mont Tremblant every 20 minutes. Unfortunately it doesn't stop near our unit, so if we wanted to take the shuttle, we would have to walk 10-15 minutes with all our ski gear. We ended up driving there instead. It snowed quite a bit during our stay and the resort staff did a great job clearing the snow from the parking lots as well as the sidewalks, stairs, and unit entrances. We didn't have any issues when we left in the mornings or when we returned in the evenings. The front desk people spoke English and were really friendly and made several excellent dining recommendations in nearby towns. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay as well as the close proximity to Mont Tremblant. We would definitely stay here again. The one thing we would do differently is book earlier so that we could stay longer.

Place Saint Bernard Mont Tremblant

We stayed at the Deslaurier Saint-Bernard in the Pedestrian Village at Mont-Tremblant. The unit was a one bedroom with kitchen, lliving room, and nice-sized bathroom. There are ski lockers (a lock is supplied) on the RC level. Underground parking is at the SS level one level below RC and is 15$C a night. The buildings have been around a while and though showing its age a bit, the unit was nice and quite comfortable. The convenience can't be beat -- literally a two minute walk to the gondola. We loved the Pedestrian Village look and feel. Check-in and out were quite easy, and we could leave our car (they suggested we leave by 2) while we skied the last day after checkout. We were a little disappointed at the kitchen amenities, with one dish cloth and one dish towel, one brillo pad, no paper towels, and no sponge/scrubby. However, the cloth, dish towel, and pad were replenished every second day, so that was good. And we were very disappointed that the room only had a keurig, as we had brought our own coffee. We managed to make coffee with a strainer, a pot, and the filters we brought. So if you like drip coffee, bring a pour-over and filters with you. Lastly, there was quite a bit of music at night, but we kinda liked that vibe, and after a hard day of skiing, it certainly didn't keep us up.
