The staff were excellent, the hotel was in an okay location in Shuhe ancient town (around 4kms from Lijiang old town), and the gym was good. The room was small but cozy, the only thing that really bothered me was the air conditioning. You could turn it on, it made noise, but it didn’t actually condition the air in the room. The temperature was around 28 degrees which meant I could barely get any sleep at all. It was absolutely roasting! Since the AC didn’t work I tried to open the windows but it made zero difference to the room temperature.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was just okay (this first day I was the only person at the hotel so it was not the normal breakfast. The second morning had a small group staying so it had more options, but still a bit minimal. Location is good, although it is right behind the music square, so it is a bit loud until later. Great location and if you want to you out and have some food and drinks until late, it’s fantastic. The gym and pool are nice though I didn’t have the opportunity to try either. It is a bit of a trek into the old town to get to the place as no taxis can enter where it is, but again, it is a lively area of the old town.

Great location, very central. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have balcony. The gym is well equipped and the pool area is very generous and neat.

Decent hotel, clean rooms, helpful staff. I don’t speak Chinese and the staff tried to speak English and also helped me coordinate getting to the airport. The AC in the room didn’t really work and the pool was pretty dirty but other than that we had a nice stay.

Absolutely amazing hotel. A great building in a great location. The pool was pretty cold but they heated it just for us even though the occupancy was very low at the time. The owner walked us out of the ancient town to a cab when we left. We’d definitely stay there again.
