Great little find in central Lille. Good spaced and clean rooms with comfy beds. Staff were friendly and were very accommodating when we arrived early. Generous check out time and luggage store available.

Lille City Center
Fantastic, central location. Convenient for the stations, sights, shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely staff, clean rooms. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because the shower head tended to lean exhaustedly against the wall. Good power and temperature though. We were there for the England rugby match and despite the pressure on availablity the room rate was reasonable. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Vieux Lille
We chose this hotel on cost, but it turned out to be very well-located, an easy 10-minute walk from either Lille station and the city centre (Grand Place), and even closer to the old town. The hotel is clean and functional, with all the basics: comfy bed, tiny but well appointed ensuite shower-room, small desk and surprisingly comfortable chair, blackout blind on the window... Breakfast was the usual cold buffet items: cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, breads, croissants, preserves, plus juices and hot drinks. All high quality except the whole apples (there was fruit salad too), which were dull and several were bruised - both mornings. Wifi was good both in our 4th floor room and in the breakfast room. Staff were rather dour, and not quite on it clearing breakfast detritus, for example, but that was fairly minor issue for us. But it was the location which made it special - just round the corner from Rue du Gand, a pretty cobbled street full of eating establishments and gateway to both the old town and the main centre.

Good location. Close to the train station, but Lille was not big. But the environment is really bad. I was sleepy. I was woken up several times in the middle of the night. First, the smoke alarm was called a few times in the middle of the night, and the second was the sound insulation effect was poor. I don’t know who went drunk in the corridor in the middle of the night and the sound was loud. .

We booked this hotel months ago. My booking (of five nights) clearly stated that we were two groups of two people and that we'd like refurbished rooms. We were given two rooms that looked as though they'd been dragged kicking and screaming straight from the 50's. My parents were given a room where the person sleeping on the left hand side of the bed had to scramble over the person sleeping on the right to get in and out. It was a room for one person NOT two. (room 31) The room my partner and I were given was a little bigger (room 36) however two of us were only allowed three pillows between us. Not once during our stay was the bedding changed. We had two tiny sachets of shampoo for the entire length of our stay (I have long hair and the two sachets didnt wash half of it!) Toilet roll also seemed to be in short supply, with half a roll to last us 5 days, we ended up buying some. Both rooms overlooked a net covered in things clearly fallen from hotel rooms and three large air conditioning units, that ran 24/7. The bathrooms were incredibly small. I am 5'3” tall and my knees were pressed against the door when I was sat on the loo, my 6' tall partner ended up having to poo with the sliding door open! (nobody needs to see that.) There was not space within the bathroo to dry yourself after having a shower. Bear in mind I asked for REFURBISHED rooms. On our last day as we were leaving, we saw the actual rooms I requested, which were twice the size of ours, tastefully decorted and with wonderful views. WiFi didnt work The advertised parking was 1/4 mile away up 12 ramps to get to the floor. Anything bigger than a small SUV is NOT going to fit in the space, or up the ramps. It was only sheer luck we didnt bring our other vehicle. I am considering a claim to recoup some of the money we paid as the hotel clearly mis-sells its rooms, thankfully I paid with my credit card so I can do this. The hotel is well placed in the centre of Lille however.
