Base Serviced Apartments - Duke Street

Location is good but reception was only opened at limited hours. Our bathtub was blocked but we were unable to call them at night to fix it as no one picked up

The apar**ent was perfect, ideal location and it had everything we needed for our stay. We spoke to Helen and she was brilliant. She was very kind and welcoming, we’d continue to rebook again just with how friendly and incredible she was. Would definitely recommend this. 5 star service.

I booked this last minute for our family stay and was so impressed by Book A Base apar**ents. Amazing customer service, spotless apar**ent, so spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. My family are already asking me to book again and they have other locations so we will definitely visit again. Staff even surprised my son with a birthday cake on arrival. Thanks to everyone at Base for making our stay so memorable.

apar**ent was large and well equipped but let itself down as a bit tired / dated. There was damage to the seating and worktops etc that lowered the aesthetics.

good communication they ring you beforehand etc , we got there earlier than 3pm & our room was ready which was good, everything you need really except for some prosecco glasses ha ha , nice & clean & good location for where we wanted to go, stayed a few times now

The property served us really well. It was clean and comfortable. It was definitely tired as other reviews said. Lots of elements were broken including windows. Some wouldn't shut and other wouldn't open. The light by the front door didn't work and we arrived in the dark so that wasn't helpful. The flat was also cold when we arrived. The bedrooms quickly heated up and the duvet's were warm, but the lounge area heater wasn't adequate and then later broke. But the agent was super quick at bringing up a heater which helped. The kitchen had the bare minimum cooking utensils, but there were lots of great places to eat around the area. The location was fantastic and we could easily explore Liverpool by foot and parking was secure. Overall, the place worked for us, but it would have got top marks if it wasn't so run down.

Apar**ent was certainly big enough and had the basics, but the walls were so thin you could hear your neighbours and all times of the day and night. The shower was poor too and struggled to get any real pressure. The kitchen was spot on and had everything in it. It was centrally located and easy to walk to the city centre.

It’s a really fabulous place for the location and looks like it could do with a little bit of modernization of the furniture that’s getting battered, but it really didn’t matter because it really has so much space and room for everyone. Somebody obviously had been overserved in the past, and decided to put their hand through the door of the en suite bathroom, and there was a drippy tap that you might want to look into so your water isn’t so high in the en suite bathroom as well. Amazing views from the bedrooms and balcony and definitely will try and return to this place for my daughter’s graduation next summer.

The apar**ent was really dirty. Stains on bedding and the sofa was filthy. It was apparent that the shower temperature gauge had been interfered with so that the shower never got hot. I reported to reception on Saturday and she said she would send someone up. However it was still cold on Sunday so i couldnt shower. Water from taps was very hot so it was shower specific. When we went to book out all other guests said they had same problem. What a petty thing to do. There was clearly no problem with hot water per se, just getting it in the shower. Most accommodation will take card details to potentially make a charge for damage. However BASE take £100 and then it takes up to 10 days to return it. Imagine the interest they make on those payments. Totally disgusted and it ruined my birthday weekend.
