We were on holiday in London from the US. We spent 5 nights at Premier Inn Blackfriar's. Everything was fantastic. They were able to let us into our room a half an hour early, which was very helpful as we were tired from traveling overnight. We had made requests for our room (higher floor, away from lifts) which they honored with no issues. They held our luggage for the day so we could sightsee before checking into our room. There seemed to be less than ideal staff numbers at the desk/bar at times, but we didn't wait overly long to be helped each time. This hotel is ideally situated. It's off the main road, so very quiet. There's both a Tesco Express and Sainsbury's right around the corner. Fleet Street/the Strand was a nice walk for some shops and sights. The Blackfriar's tube station is not far at all. Keep in mind if you choose this hotel you are in a business district, so rush hour is definitely felt in this location on the streets and on the tube in a way it wouldn't be in a less business and more residential area. But it was not an issue to detract from this wonderful hotel at all. You're in the heart of the City of London and there's heaps of history walking distance from the hotel. The bed was supremely comfortable and more comfortable than our bed at our AirBnb later in the trip. The sofa bed--I worried about it when booking. I will tell you that my 5'10" teenage son slept on the sofa bed and it was FINE. It was comfortable enough and he did not hang off it. He had zero complaints about the sofa bed over 5 nights. The hotel was clean, modern, very comfortable and VERY quiet. We were on floor 3 and could not hear anyone above or below us, outside or in the hallway. We heard doors slam (why do they slam like that?) a couple of times in the duration of our stay, but it was rare and minimal. I would definitely stay here again with no hesitation.
