Hotels near Goethe-Institut Lyon - Centre Allemand in Lyon

15min walk from Lyon Part Dieu. Due to construction works, walking and dragging luggage became challenging and not as direct. There was a huge Westfield Mall where you can shop and dine. 10min walk to car rental office. There was a pickup area for us to load up luggage to our rental car just beside the hotel. Check-in process was a bliss. Staff was friendly. Sanitisers were always available. Room was relatively much smaller than Paris hotel. Barely enough space for 2x large luggage. Nevertheless, room was clean and dust-free. Toilet had decent space. Recommended for as a stopover hotel. Probably a night stay.

Hotel Charlemagne is a great hotel. The location was in an esplanade district directly in the route of all public transport. We took a tram to the train station, and the bus to the tourist sites- direct route. There is plenty to eat in the area, with a mall about a 10 min walk. Across the street is a self service all included laundry, very helpful for long trips. Some restaurants in the area close outside the peak hours- mostly 3-6. The staff was very friendly and the bar tender made a great mojito.

Petit hôtel très sympathique, sans prétention, mais très honnete, bien pensé, bien décoré et aux espaces efficacement optimisés et d’excellent rapport qualité/prix avec un petit dej avec des viennoiseries de qualité, ainsi que du bon pain frais, même si une offre un peu plus étendu en salé serait appréciable. Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et arrangeant . Les « tintins et Astérix » gracieusement prêtés par l’établissement achèveront de vous endormir en douceur.

The hotel is on an industrial park outside the city but it’s very quick to get into the centre. The hotel feels very new, all the facilities were great and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds. Good powerful shower and good air con. The breakfast which was included in our rate was very good. All staff were very pleasant. It’s linked to the Kyriad and you can easily walk to use their bar & pool table-they were playing all the premiership matches on the evening we were there much to my kids delight! Safe, good parking and all in all, an excellent, comfortable one night stay.

We needed to stop en-route to M****illes and also needed EV charging. It is the first time we have used B&B Hotels and it won’t be the last. Booking is easy via the app and it is worth contacting the reception and saying that you have an EV. We arrived, booked in, were given one code for front door, garage and room and when we parked up there was charging point ready to use. The rooms are functional, clean with more sockets than you can ever use - nobody has that many devices - comfortable beds and great conditioning. The breakfast was included and was all you needed for the journey ahead. The receptionist was most helpful and guided us to a local brasserie George being Sunday that was a blessing.

A new-feeling hotel hotel in close proximity to the station. The room has a microwave, stove, dishes, and iron. Large room I was confused by the location of the shower area without any door to the room Breakfast is good, has everything you need. I note cheeses and cold cuts On the downside, upon check-in, they found dishes in the sink that had not been washed by the previous occupants.

Minimum but logical comfort view affordable price and pleasant location. Parking on the ground very narrow but appreciable. Better bed. Friendly bathroom. Air conditioning noisy but efficient. The room was spacious but large.

A pleasant stay. Good welcome, clean hotel. Nothing to re-repeat on the service. We took the breakfast option: quite varied, the dining room is very beautiful. Clean room. Quiet place or a good atmosphere. We haven't tested the restaurant or the swimming pool because the telos was quite fresh.

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and the room is clean and spacious. At a guess, we have stayed at this Hotel 8-10 times over the past years. I am sorry to say that after our last experience, we will never stay there again. As a 5 Star Hotel, it was slipshod and dissappointing. On arrival, at 16.45 there was nobody on the Reception Desk, but there was a sign which said ” There is nobody on Reception at present, please take a seat and wait ! There is still construction works going on at the adjacent ****** and there are now only 4 parking spaces for guests. which includes one for disabled and one for electric car charging. The only parking is an unattended open car park some 800 metres from the Hotel and I was not prepared to leave a £200,000 car loaded with luggage, laptops, phones and personal items there. The Receptionist agreed that I could occupy a disabled person's bay on the proviso that he could move it if required. The suite on the mezzanine floor was fine apart from the following;_ - Only 5 TV channels none English. - No Notepad or pen. - No list of Telephone numbers to call reception or room service. - Ony 2 towels for 3 persons, when charged extra for 16 year old granddaughter to stay in the suite. Same for Glasses, cups, Tea bags milk. Just 2 for 3 persons. - The Wifi was awful and kept logging you off. Later found out that you could log in using any old name name and email address you cared to enter ! _ One Loo roll ,part used and no spare. - A Huge Stag Beetle was discovered on the sofa and at that point we had not opened the doors to the balcony. We were aware that the main Restaurant would be closed on the Tuesday that we arrived ,but shortly before we left England I received an email that room service would not be available either but we could have a cold meal in our room.Oh well onwards and upwards ! The cold meal turned out to be a choice between smoked salmon, cheese or cold meats each served with bread and butter. No desserts, not even Ice cream. Anyway, we opted for 2 salmon and 1 cheese. After a long wait, the receptionist knocked on the door with the salmon and cheese and a basket of bread which he had himself prepared and it comprised a single baguette cut up into slices and 3 pats of butter. The salmon was just as if it has come out of a packet and there were 6 miserable slices of 3 different cheeses. The cost for this gastronomic extravaganza was €127.00 which included Room service and a warm bottle of white wine( No Ice bucket either). Total cost for a nights stopover with breakfast with hard sausage and rubber bacon was €603.60. Sorry Pavillon, don't expect to see me again.
