Icon Casona 1900

I can’t fault this hotel or service it was excellent from arrival to departure. The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. I would recommend and will be returning.

excellent location..fabulous breakfast, beautiful selection everyday of fresh fruit, eggs to order, breads and endless coffees...ALL staff so helpful..special mentions-eva-irene-dario. many tapas places around the corner. restaurant julian tapas and dinners. the national archeology museum…we went two days, as so much to see and mercado de la paz not to be missed. also vintage clothing stores HUMANA, money goes towards education and medical care in other countries. we went to three! ALL OF ABOVE WITHON WALKING DISTANCE OF ICON HOTEL

We have stayed at Icon Casona 1900 several times now, and each was wonderful. It's a small, boutique-type hotel, located in the beautiful Salamanca district, and very close to Paseo de la Castellana, and within comfortable walking distance of most everything you'll want to see. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Rooms very clean, modern and comfortable. The included breakfast is amazing, again with terrific service. All this, and it's a great value as well. Can't say enough good things about this hotel, it's services and staff. You can't go wrong here.

I’d love to leave a nice review about the lobby design or the fruit selection at breakfast. However, I think the number one thing when it comes to hotels is sleep quality and this hotel did not deliver. After a late night, I put the do not disturb sign at the door. However, I was awaken by a call from reception asking if I needed the room done or fresh towels which I declined. I was surprised to hear a knock on the door shortly after, that was house keeping asking if I wanted fresh towels. The night before checking out, I asked for a late check-out, I was told it was available and would cost me €50 which I accepted. However, the next morning when I wanted to settle the bill (but not check out) It was obvious the late check-out cost had not been included in the bill. When I pointed it out I was told by the receptionist that they had no note of that. Later when I returned (after regular check-out time) my key didn’t work anymore so I had to ask the same receptionist to correct this. At the end of the day, the location is great if you like the neighbourhood but the service truly isn’t meeting minimum requirements so I wouldn’t recommend it.

Fabulous hotel in great location with the most friendly and helpful team. Special shout to the reception team and Irene in the breakfast room. The rooms feel very safe and the area is so quiet but everything not too far away. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Iam frequent guest to this hotel, I really like it cause of location,terrace &front desk wise , that’s why I rate it 4/5 other than that I wouldn’t stay. This time I didn’t have the room I stayed in always so the bed wasn’t good at this, also I stayed first night in not preferable room which was irritating, moreover the rate was over this time more than before
