Howie's HomeStay

We are frequent visitors of luxury travel, and we don't usually have the habit of writing reviews, but we didn't expect this kind of hotel in the world, so we must recommend it! This place is like a museum, my girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and found some interesting artwork every day, both furnishings and manor house designed by well-known designers! Because the design of this hotel is operated by Bill Bensley , and then the owner Howie's feelings for the artwork are perfectly interpreted in this place! It is also worth mentioning that Howie only receives one guest, basically feels like a bag, so the whole estate is ours, he will greet you personally, as if you are visiting an old friend! Howie's wife Jeri's Thai cuisine is beautiful rice and restaurant, there are different flowers every day, they ensure that we are cared for in the morning, afternoon and evening, we also enjoy Howie's hospitality, often share his entrepreneurial experience with us during dinner, and if you want to experience Chiang Mai, Howie will also provide all suggestions to ensure that everyone has peace of mind! I read other reviews before booking and feel too good to be truth, but it turned out to be true! This is a very good accommodation experience, endless aftertaste! Have the opportunity to go back again. I love Boutique hotels and have been to Chiang Mai before, so I was a tiny bit worried about staying outside the centre/town, but needn't have worried. This place is so beautiful and flawless my boutique hotel heart skipped a beat! Service is impeccable, spa amazing, food was soooo good and the room beautiful and comfortable. The hotel arranged for me a private driver to Chiang Rai as well as pottery class in Chiang mai and unique temple visits also in Chiang Mai. I loved their afternoon delights and I'm happy to report I still have them at home and smile when I see them. (I won't spoil the surprise.) Just go - you'll be happy here!
Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai
4.8/5104 Reviews
We traveled there with a fear that the hotel may not be as nice as the other Four Seasons hotels we have visited in the past. But we got there and got amazed of how the hotel is. The hotel is built around a lake. On a side of the lake there are sone rice plantation. The rooms are all around the lake and the plantation but hidden in a beautiful forest and gardens very well maintained. The hotel has, nearby the lake, an activities area including rice planting, pink buffalo bathing, pottery learning, etc. It makes you feel like you are living in a small thai village, in the middle of the nature (ok… luxury village in a luxury nature… ). The room is a “Four Seasons” room with a plus for the outside pavilion, high up from the ground and accesuble from the room through a bridge. All for the two of us to enjoy a drink and a cigar after the dinner right in the middle of the nature (luxury forest as previously mentioned…). So, you may see similar rooms in other hotels but domains as in the Four Seasons hotels you definately won find easily elsewhere. Even the pools were built by using green ceramic, so everywhere you look it is green. So relaxing for the eyes! Overall, it is hard to find the right words to describe the feelings this hotel gives you. If you are a traveler, you should not miss the Four Seasons Chiang Mai.
Onsen at Moncham

This is my 2nd time at this Onsen. I stayed in the room with an outdoor Onsen, and it is spacious and nicely decorated. The bedding also comfortable. The hotel offers complementary drinks and delicious snacks in the room. The public Onsen is relaxing and serene. Nam, one of the managers, is welcoming and hospitable. Highly recommend this place when you visit Chiangmai. If you don’t drive, you will need to hire a car or arrange a pickup/drop off with the hotel.
