This hotel sits on the bank of a non-existing river just at the very beginning of the old town of Malaga. Actually, it is on top of the old medieval town wall with some Roman parts. It can be seen through the glass floors you walk on at the entrance to the hotel and even better a half level down. It is fantastic! The whole reception area is very airy and beautiful. Our room was large and very nice. The bed was soft, a very unusual luxury in continental Europa which I very much appreciated. However, there could have been more than one chair in such a large room. It is now completely dominated by the bed. The bathroom was rather big and included two wash basins. Even if it was a bathtub and not a shower, which I prefer, it was well covered with full glass doors, so it worked fine. The only disadvantage was the high walls of the bathtub and together with the internal three steps stair up to the bathroom and entrance it is not very good for those who have restricted movement abilities. Our room had three full lengths windows, so called French windows looking out into a nice car free area. Unfortunately, the hotel was in my view overcautious since they had put a number of large red stickers on them that completely spoiled everything, otherwise it could have been very nice. The breakfast was good with a large buffet, the only thing that could have been added was an omelette chef. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and even more so those in the reception. I liked this hotel very much.

Great hotel near the port, a park and the beach. I enjoyed my stay very much. Absolutely no complaints. Service was great and helpful, rooms are spacious and clean. For traveling by car, they also have an own garage. Definitely booking again.

Spent 4 nights here and were very pleased with the hotel. It’s a short walk to the train station, the old town and the shopping centre. We had a late flight and when I contacted the hotel, there was no problem with a late check-in. Room had a king size double bed, bed settee and kitchenette. The fridge contained complimentary water and there was a tea and coffee making facility. Bathroom was excellent; both a bath and a huge walk-in shower. Separate toilet, which is very useful. Despite the hotel being right in the town, soundproofing was excellent m, so we were not disturbed, despite the Holy Week processions. My only gripe is there were lots of shelves, but only one drawer. I don’t like my undies being on display, so removed the hair drier from the drawer so that husband and I could share the space. Also only 3 hangers and no hooks for coats etc. Please supply more hangers!!!!! We didn’t eat in the hotel, as there are so many places nearby. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Would definitely return.

Stayed at Hotel beginning of October for 3 nights. Brilliant location if travelling from Airport by train (10 minutes & about 3 euros. Hotel attached to Maria Zambrano train station (don't go to Central!) 2 minute walk from escalators. Also convenient enough for Malaga old town. Staff were all really friendly & helpful. Room was good - large, well equipped, large comfy bed - air con a bit noisy. Small roof top pool with bar a great place to relax. Breakfast buffet brilliant - OK the scrambled eggs were a bit overdone, but even the toaster made good toast quickly (usually the bane of hotel breakfasts!) And a whole honey comb with real honey on offer. We really enjoyed our stay - wouldn't hesitate to go back if we were staying in Malaga.

The hotel is excellent for this price and class. Sufficiently spacious room (510). With air conditioning, which was also working in April (we are doing so again) and free WiFi. The rooms are very clean. Good, very wide beds. A spacious inlet shower (specially when booking is requested; the whole of the rooms has a bathtub to shower). From the train from the airport it is 50m walk to the hotel. Very handy! The breakfast is a wide choice and is until 10:30 pm. Not quick, so there is only one coffee machine. That's too little. The hotel is located on the edge of the historical center. In 10 minutes walking you are at the cathedral.

PLUS In the center of the city, easy to reach (when booking, the hotel sends a good description of how to get there by public transport plus the address of some restaurants and shops). A recent building, very well maintained. The parking of the hotel is nearby (in 2023 per night 9 €). Bilingual receptionists (Spanish-English). The rooms are clean and tidy (in the bathroom a cup in glass, wrapped in plastic ...). A comfortable bed with a soft mattress, so your sleep is guaranteed. On the street side (also at the back?) there is a meter-high window with a balustrade. This gives a pleasant view. Across the street (see the photos of the hotel) there are some pubs and eateries, without music so just some pleasant chatting visitors. If you prefer peace and tranquillity, close the double window (consisting of two double-glazed doors). These four glass plates guarantee absolute silence. MINUS Only accommodation, no breakfast. But next to the supermarket is a pub (Luchi) that serves a great simple breakfast (in 2023 from 9 am). We stayed there twice, each time a very positive experience. We stayed for 3 nights and only wish it had been longer. Lovely room (126) with a huge very comfortable bed and super-clean bathroom. Good location for the city itself, and near to Alameda Centro Station for the frequent and inexpensive trains to the coast as far as Fuengirola. One of the highlights was a visit to the Museum of Automobiles and Fashion. It was my birthday on our 2nd day, and when we got back from our day out I found a slice of cake and a message of good wishes. That made my day! We hope to return to this quirky and welcoming Hotel again soon. By the way in case you are wondering, my wife wrote this because it was her birthday!
