The trip was a weekend getaway with one of my sons and his girlfriend who has been here several times. I always read reviews and information about a place i have never been before. The reviews i read was disheartening but despite the sour taste the review i read left with me, we booked. First the price is very expensive! we booked a floating cabin that sleeps 2 on the website. The price started out good 175 per night, by the time i got to check out it was $500 for two nights! Well needless to say the price cut the whole family out of going. Our main purpose was to just get away to see something we have not seen before and fish. Well, the fishing part was excellent! We had so much fun fishing and we caught bluegill and catfish. Everyone at the place was so kind, it seemed like i already knew them! Fred checked us in. Absolutely wonderful man. The ladies there was so helpful. If i could i would go back every month just to see everyone! The cabin was clean and cute, it was just enough for me and my husband. All the guests that were in the cabins were happy and kind. I don' t believe any one caught as many fish as we did,but they where out there trying.

Here is how I feel honestly and I’m not a picky person at all ! We got there with no air conditioning in the floating cabin and when we called they said they would bring a fan that evening and was told he would have a window unit brought to us first thing the next morning. ( temperature was 78 in there at that point and in the bedroom even hotter). We did receive the fan brought by a very nice lady that worked there but never saw a window unit. Our stove didn’t work, furniture was filthy and smelled . We tried our best to make the best of it but could only handle one night and had to leave with no reimbursement. The pictures are very deceiving online. It could be a fairly nice place if it was upgraded a little and taken care of.

The bathroom was dirty and we had half a roll of toilet paper. The toilet ran all night and we couldn’t sleep. Roach’s everywhere, feasting on a donut under the bed. We checked out the next morning and stayed in red bank. Horrible experience…never again

I admit I was concerned going here because of the mixed reviews BUT it was fabulous. We rented 3 one bedroom floating cabins. They were clean, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, the staff was fabulous and the grounds were clean. I caught around 10 fish. Use minnows. If you like fishing and outdoor type things this place will not disappoint.

Pictures are deceiving. The water was full of ****s and algae, the cabin is small and dark, dirt on the shower floor and A/C didnt cool the whole place. We actually left, and received no cash refund for a 4 day reservation. Only offered stay in villas after we had already driven home..

We stayed in a 3 bedroom house and chose this place specifically because it has a pool. The price seemed good based on advertised amenities. The Good: The was clean and was equipped with most of what you would need to cook, as well as starter toilet paper, paper towels, etc. (as advertised). As they state on their webpage, it’s a two star “resort”, so nothing fancy. The beds and furniture were comfy, excluding the broken dining room chair. The view was of the river and the marina, including a floating restaurant that they attempted to move but ended up sinking. The microwave didn’t work, and they promptly replaced it. The Bad: After checking in after a long ride on a hot day, we went to swim in the pool. It was covered in dead bugs, the sides of the pool were covered in a black growth. We got a net and started to skim off the bugs, but the net had a hole in it…then we realized that there were little black particles floating all in the water. The water wasn’t circulating even though the pump was running. Long story short, they were not able to get the pool clean, accused us of being the only ones who have complained this season ( we were told by a slip holder that he has heard tons of complaints, and he was going to sit by it but not get in). We were also told that “just this morning the health inspector gave them a 98/which we will verify and discuss with the health depar**ent when he calls us back) We were told several times that the place is a two star resort, not a five star. When we asked for a refund or an adjus**ent, the woman reiterated that it’s a two star “resort” and what we paid reflected that (counting taxes and cleaning we paid almost 1200.00 for 3 nights). And she said there are no refunds. Do not give these people your money. After a long ride we (my husband, 2 grands and I) went

Warning the beautiful pictures of bungalows with modern interiors on the water are not what you will get. They put us in a old, dirty, moldy, run down trailer with a broken kitchen sink, toilet. Dirty, stinky, broken furniture including a couch that looked like it was thrown out on the curb after 10 years of dogs using it. The place smelled like a combination of cat urine, fish and mold. The door had been kicked in or something because it didn’t work and was nearly impossible to close. The refrigerator and ceiling fan made a symphony of squealing and high pitched sounds that were headache inducing. The floor were worn and dirty, everything was covered in an inch of dust and dirt. The loft was covered in bugs including the bed. The hot water lasted all of 5 minutes if that. It was a nightmare all around. And…. The kicker, When I notified the office (they were kinda nice) but they made no concessions or accommodations. It was like they are used to it. I understand a few problems, but this was beyond any realm of acceptable!
