Daughter and I stayed for 11 nights. Hotel and staff couldn't have been better. We hadn't paid to stay at the Savoy, but we're extremely pleased with our stay. Quiet and relaxed, enough choice of food at breakfast. Desk managers, Figen (beautiful lady) and Turan were polite and very helpful with local information. Hotel is in a good location in quite a busy part of the town, bus to the centre or local towns stops at the door. Beautiful supermarket is 2 minutes walk away. Unless we decide to go more upmarket would definitely stay again. Thanks.

So we arrived (4 ladies 50+) very late around 1am. The staff on reception were very helpful. We have a traveller in a wheelchair and let her see which bedroom best suited her needs. She was changed to a larger room with balcony for £5 per night. We also did an upgrade for £35 for the week. The chair on the balcony was unsafe and a replacement was brought immediately. The rooms on the first floor only have a Juliette balcony and I think the top floor hasn’t been upgraded to the standard the lower floors have. We looked in a few before choosing ours. This was very kind of the lads to deal with tired grumpy ladies. The beds are comfortable, I always take my own pillow but the pillows maybe a tad lumpy but I am fussy. There is no kettle in the room but there is a fridge, sadly no water on arrival (bring with you if arriving late) the room is on the front and is noisy but that’s not the hotels fault so that isn’t a criticism, though if you want quiet this is not the best choice. It was around 3am when we finically got into bed. There was a crack in the toilet seat but we were too tired. On reporting it in the morning it was promptly replaced with a new one. Breakfast is 8-10 and was simple but nice. I had scrambled egg on toast and cereal. Fruit juice and coffee. My friend had fruit and cheese selection. The other 2 missed it as hadn’t put their clocks 2 hours forward! Anyway so far so good. My biggest gripe so far is this. On hiring a mobility scooter locally, the hotel charge £10 (400 Turkish) per single charge!! I am absolutely disgusted in this. I’m more than happy to pay something, I fully accept electricity is not cheap but I asked is that per 24 hours? No, each charge!’ I’ve travelled to Bulgaria, Tunisia, Spain and NEVER been charged to charge a scooter. This has somewhat spoiled my opinion of the hotel. I think £5 would more than cover a charge. The man on reception told me to charge in a bar if I didn’t want to pay. I said the battery was almost flat and he shrugged his shoulders. I had to pay as I had no choice. Anyway be aware that this hotel do charge Excessively for this ‘extra’ so that and not being able to have a brew on arrival or be offered water are my negatives. I’ve not been here long and will update my post after we leave. Today I feel a little disappointed but I have tried to leave a balanced and fair review.

Clean and spacious room, bathroom and balcony and the hotel in general. Room was cleaned and prepared and towels , shower mat changed on a daily basis. Room had a fridge , TV (limited english language) channels and air-conditioning. Good wifi in my room. All the staff friendly and helpful lady manager who kindly rung up to confirm my airport transfer 48hrs and 24hrs prior. Hotel was perfect for me , 30min walk to the marina and if you fancy walking to Içmeler 90mins along the coast. Breakfast is pretty much the same daily, eggs, sausages, salad, cereals a couple of bread varieties and your breakfast beverages. Pleasant hotel to stay in Marmaris.

I love this hotel, staff are so nice and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. They go above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. The beds are very comfortable, and your room is cleaned daily, and the bonus that air conditioning is included. Some of the rooms are a little dated but still very functional. If you have a promotional room, these are more updated.

We bagged a cheap deal very last minute flew from Glasgow. Had a couple of teething problems with first room but went and complained to desk - they quickly switched our rooms and we were happier. Breakfast is very basic - eggs on toast. Says free wifi it doesn’t work in rooms I’d recommend getting a wifi box. Need to pay for safe. Not allowed to use hotel towels at pool. Not allowed to bring own food and drink into hotel. Since it was start of season is was quite quiet we got sun lounges easy but told by other guests they recommended getting up early for a bed. If you like a cheap, clean, basis hotel this is for you. Overall it was a nice stay.

Only booked the one night here as a stop gap because I couldn’t get in my chosen hotel for the length of my holiday but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t a good start on arrival just before midnight when I checked my paperwork to discover to my horror that I’d actually booked the wrong date and not the date I was arriving ! (What a plonker), The guy on reception was very good and although I had to pay again the price was so reasonable that I was just grateful to have a bed after a long journey. My room was spacious if a little dated, a large comfortable double bed, tv, fridge, safe deposit box, a good shower, and one of the largest wrap-around balconies I’ve ever seen which overlooked a a good sized pool with around 30 sunbeds. The included breakfast was basic but reasonably good, being typically Turkish, fried and hard boiled eggs, olives, tomato, cucumber, cheese, pancakes, jam, and other bits n bobs. The bread was disappointing as it was from a packeted slice loaf, a real shame as the unsliced Turkish bread is so good and also cheap. The coffee was good. You’ve no worries about cleanliness- the whole place is impressively clean. Although I was booked into a four star all inclusive the next day I must admit I could have settled here for the week easily. (& saved a few quid) . If you bear in mind it’s a budget hotel and you’re not expecting the Ritz then you’ll have no problem at all with the Alkan. I guarantee I’ll be back, hopefully later this year.

Basic hotel, no frills. Breakfast is just okay. You can not get water or hot tea after breakfast unless you pay. For a Turkish tea you will pay 25 lira. Pool water was sparkling. Most of the staff were very nice and friendly except for one young man, who was always rude to us. The balcony we had was really nice and big, wrap around. We however were on the second floor, right above Carlos Streakhouse so it was always noisy.

We didn't like this hotel ; and that is from the observation of people who are not fussy when it comes to places we stay at. This is not to put people off but to guide them based on the kind of holiday experience they want to have. From our experience, there is no buzz or life of this hotel ; it really needs updating , the reception is dingy and dark and the rooms don't feel like a cosy welcome back when returning to after a long day . The location is in a very touristic spot in Marmaris on main road, the closeness to the stunning beach and view of the mountains is exquistely beautiful - however the whole atmosphere of the hotel needs some TLC. We had no memorable attachment to this hotel as part of our holiday ; our room was on the main road and very noisy so perhaps that's part of it, but I just think for such a popular place they could do better . We didn't feel any warmth from this hotel -If you're going to go out all day in Marmaris perhaps this place is for you, but it was very nondescript for us.

Although this is a basic hotel it was good value for money, large spacious room cleaned daily but it was roadside so very noisy did ask to be moved but receptionist just did not seem interested said when they had a room available at the back she would let us know but never heard from her and got fed up chasing. Breakfast was basic but adequate always managed to find something even had fresh pancakes but only on one day out of ten. Pool area clean and tidy and always sunbeds available one side much sunnier than the other only complaint would be people who put towels at silly o'clock but then only use them for maybe an hour in the afternoon. Pool bar was ok staff very helpful only comment would be drink prices bit expensive around £6 for a spirit and about £3.50 for an Effes bars directly outside much cheaper. Would return if I was looking for a cheap chilled break.

I arrived at Alkan to find that my hotel room was filthy. The bedding was not clean, the tiled floor hadn't been cleaned in days and the shower area was mouldy and disgusting. I had booked a "Double bed" and found it to be two singles which I was unhappy about. I complained to Easyjet Holidays who made contact with the hotel but were unable to move me to another room due to the hotel being full. The following day, I was shown to another room on the top floor and it was fantastic. The room was immaculately clean and the cleaner became the best person in the hotel. She was an older lady with no English but her warmth and generosity shone through. She kept the room so clean and proved that it was possible to clean rooms to high standard. Breakfast was ok and the trick was to be there first thing in the morning when all the food was hot and fresh. The hotel needs direction and a major revamp. Staff at reception and around the pool area appear weary and disinterested. The hotel is in a central part of Marmaris and has so much potential but sadly falls short.

Not the best hotel where do you start... The friendly greeting er nope. When asked for extra lining for the beds on arrival. Reception said no quiet abrupt. Front top rooms noisy due to the rd traffic an the bar/ restaurant down stairs especially on a saturday night. Breakfast is a joke olive's, cucumber, tomatoes, water melon which is warm. Beans, scrambled egg, hotdogs sausages served cold. There's is ceral an other bits that you wouldn't eat for breakfast... Gross. The cleaners well they have a rest by a fire exit outside your room door an smoke. Smoke comes under the door. Staff have been rude. The pool area and bar they put the prices up when they see the colour of your money... when question there reply is oh we have just put the prices up.... greedy.... The food isn't great its very poor quality.

The hotel is in a good location, however the hotel is in desperate need of upgrading and maintenance. The room were spacious with clean bedding and towels. However their were cracks in the walls, bleach stained floors with flooring lifting in places and black mold in the bathroom. The Breakfast was fine, just a standard Turkish breakfast with plenty of choice. The staff were always helpful and courteous. Jet 2 rate this as a 3star plus but its probably more like a 2star plus.

We love the Alkan hotel have been visiting for years. The hotel is spotlessly clean. And the staff work so hard. Thank you Aaron for looking after us you work very hard. As do the maintenance people receptionist waiters and not forgetting the very hard working maids. We love the swimming pool always very clean. And the location is perfect for the shops beach and bars restaurants. We will definitely be back.
