The Riad is incredibly beautiful, little birds chirping from the trees in the courtyard and ornate details everywhere. I especially loved the beautifully painted doors. Our hostess Monique is warm and funny, full of helpful tips and a great cook. She is an interesting woman who has lived there for 20 years, I wish her well in her return to France but am sad I won't get to return to Riad Zara as it is now. Thank you Monique for adding so much to our holiday. The neighbourhood is fascinating, not touristy at all, full of local people going about their day on the busy noisy street full of cats and mopeds. I found the bustle and noise invigorating and it was such a contrast to the lovely calm of the Riad. I loved my time here,very special place.

Rude, untrustworthy, sleazy people on premises, did not feel safe for a significant amount of my stay. Rooms outdated and in poor repair. The owner appeared unwell or intoxicated? Lot of better options for same or less cash

We did not feel particularly welcome right from the start both before and after our arrival. You have a very specific arrival window and if you don't meet it then you have to pay extra. Everything above and beyond the absolute basic costs extra at this Riad and by extra I mean significantly higher than average prices in Marrakesh. This was very disappointing as we had stayed in another Riad by the main square a week or so earlier which was run by a Moroccan family and everything was included in the price such as water, tea, snacks, and breakfast. The family also went out of their way to esure we had an amazing experience which you certainly do not get at Riad Zara. Whilst the Riad is very clean and nicely furnished, I would suggest staying at a different one if you want to receive a proper Riad experience.

No air conditioning and the bed was hard and the room very small but the breakfast omelet was very good!

Le Riad est très bien situé, dans la Médina, à 20 minutes de la grande place C'est très calme et tellement joli, décoré avec gout et Monique est très accueillante, pleine de bons conseils et de petites astuces. Nous avons adoré notre séjour de 8 jours à Marrakech, nous recommandons vivement ce Riad et espérons pouvoir y retourner bientôt :)

Si vous ne commander rien chez elle, elle vous adresse à peine la parole .. elle vous demande même pas si le séjour se passe bien , nous avons fait nos excursions sur get your guide et avons manger dehors avec des amies donc on rentre tard mais Si vous n’achetez rien chez elle elle vous dira « la prochaine fois prenez un hôtel c’est mieux » d’un air moqueur ! y’a une manière de parler au gens. On a PAYER nos nuits donc on est libre de manger là-bas ou non. Si vous souhaitez que les gens vous tiennent compagnie dans ce cas là il faut le préciser dans les prestations que c’est tout compris. Nous sommes en vacances pour découvrir la ville pas pour rester du matin au soir à boire du thé. Conclusion: prenez la totalité de ses services ou trouvez vous un autre Riad sinon ambiance froide.

Excelente experiencia. Monique es una anfitriona fantástica. Nos ha dado muchos consejos y trucos para disfrutar al máximo de Marrakech y sus alrededores. El Riad muy bonito y muy limpio se situa en el corazón de la Medina. Por otra parte, la cocina que se prepara es exquisita: muchos platos tradicionales de muy buena calidad....buenisssimo todo. Nos hemos sentido como en casa :) Muchas gracias a todos los trabajadores del Riad :)
