Almaha Marrakech Restaurant & Spa

The riad Almaha is a fantastic hideaway amidst the busy medina of Marrakech. Next to lovely rooms the hotel boasts a fantastic rooftop restaurant with great foods and wines and stunning views over the city, a great hamam and even a pool. The nice breakfast on the rooftop is the best way to start the day. But, most importantly, the Almaha staff is the friendliest ever. We were very impressed with their kindness which made our stay so enjoyable. We thoroughly recommend Almaha Marrakech!

This was our best and favourite Riad that we stayed in during our travels in Morocco. Behind a door in a pretty ordinary laneway is an absolute oasis and beautiful Riad. We had a lovely warm welcome and we didn’t have to wait too long to be shown to our rooms. The staff here are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. It’s peaceful and yet it’s amongst the hustle and bustle of Moroccan life. The rooms are spacious and beautifully presented and the hammam is so good and should not be missed. Breakfast was plentiful and lunch and dinner delicious. If you are coming to Marrakech stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful Riad, one of the most beautiful roads in Marrakech. Everything was beyond perfect the rooms the design the service the food.. yes the food! The restaurant was a culinary experience. Amazing staff made our stay more enjoyable. This is truly a hidden gem! Thank you Almaha Riad for taking such good care of us.

This is a gem in the Kasbah - an oasis of calm after the buzzing Marrakech life. The rooms are big and super clean with all the required amenities. We had the room 10 on the first floor - which also has its own access to a private corner of the rooftop terrace. Great breakfast or evening drinks spot. We took Breakfast on the rooftop - was fab and a good selection of local bread, fruits, yoghurt and omelette. The Riad is stunning, well decorated and the service is excellent. It also jas a great location - inside the Kasbah, walking distances to Jemaa El Fnaa, Badi and El Bahia and literally near the Saadian Tombs. We felt at home straight on arrival, really liked this place and will definitely be back. Note that it does come with a price tag but worth it

I have not been as excited about a hotel stay as I was about Almaha in a very long time. It was simply amazing from start to finish! The "room" (really the size of an apartment!) was possibly the nicest we have ever seen (and we have stayed in a lot of hotels). It was huge with separate full living room including working fireplace and private staircase to our very own seating area/patio area on the rooftop. Every detail was thoughtfully done down to soap dishes made of tiny tagine pots! The restaurants were ingenious! The walls of one were made of small mosaic pieces that form a whole Moroccan scene when looked at as a whole. The other one (the "Library") had books with the pages folded to make words that lined the bookshelves. A flock of little song birds came to visit the courtyard and play in the vines every single night at sunset. The staff were super and so friendly. You can choose where you want to have breakfast and the first morning on the rooftop the waiter noticed that I mixed the banana from the fruit salad into my yogurt. Every morning after that no matter where we were seated he brought me extra banana and a bowl for my yogurt. When we were leaving, the front desk staff remembered that I had asked where I could buy a little silver q-tip holder that they have in the bathrooms. One of the staff ran down to say good-bye and gave me one of the holders! No detail is overlooked at Almaha and it was certainly one of the highlights of our stay in Morocco. Six stars out of five!

This Riyad was wonderful, the rooms large, pool area gorgeous, staff amazing, particularly on night of earthquake, so clean, fantastic amenities, yummy breakfast, safe, a lovely retreat in this amazing city!

The final leg of our trip, we spent four nights at this great hotel. The architectural and overall environment was great. The service was impeccable. The rooftop sun deck and bar were great as was the pool. the rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious and quite beautiful. We appreciated the hotel staff working with the hot air balloon company for our early morning pick up. Overall an excellent experience.

The Almarah is a very nice, peaceful boutique hotel, an oasis of calm after the hurly burly of Marrakesh. Located in the heart of The Medina, the interior design is stunning. A small warm pool, a sauna, a spa and an intimate private roof terrace with a bar a great place to take in the sunset and have a drink. The hotel is hidden behind a secret door down a narrow lane in the heart of the busy Kasbah. The location in the Medina was excellent for walking tours yet was just away enough from the noise of city. The rooms are gorgeous set around an internal courtyard. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious easily accommodating 2 people. There is a hammam and spa in the basement, I would definitely recommend their treatments as it was fantastic and very relaxing. The ladies are very attentive and experienced. The library on the ground floor is stunning as well and very welcoming for dinner. Unfortunately, we only had dinner there once on the first night as, although the setting was great, the food was a bit disappointing and we didn’t eat there again. However, breakfast was very good. That being said the hotel is amazing and I would highly recommend this hotel when you are in Marrakesh. Overall a memorable experience. Personal thanks to Zineb and Afal who made our stay very relaxing and comfortable. Nothing was too much or too little for them, so I appreciate all their help.

This was our first visit to Marrakesh and we had taken a while to chose our Accommodation. We were keen to have an authentic experience, however, we were also conscious of being new to the city and unsure of the perfect location. We were so pleased when we entered the outer door of of the riad into an oasis of calm…it really was a beautiful place. The staff were exceptionally helpful, kind and polite, the room was spacious, well appointed and tasteful decorated in a Moroccan style. We had 3 great days in Marrakesh, it is a bustling busy place, a full assault on the senses! From the motorbikes, to the chickens, to the smokey food stalls to the vendors selling everything from spices to lamps to leather work, it is alive day and night! As wonderful as this was I was very glad to walk through the door to the Riad Almaha, into a serene place of quiet calm to recharge my batteries before the next day began.
