Budget Motel

The only positive we can say about this motel is that the bedsheets were clean & the bed comfortable. By far the worst motel we’ve stayed in & we’re well-travelled seniors. The premises were uninviting from the start; they demand a $200 “security bond” in advance of arrival & in addition to full prepayment of price which is immediately deducted using your credit card; the staff member who took phone details of our $200 security bond failed to note them in their system so when we arrived at 5.05pm the office was closed, with no access to our room or key (fortunately another staff member came to the door upon our knocking & arranged room access & key); the room was in poor condition with large holes punched in dirty walls; toilet flush button broken; room door showed evidence of major repairs from being forcibly opened; all furnishings were old & in need of repairs & maintenance; premises adjoined hotel at rear with no fence, & noisy drunks wandered through, even scratching our hire car in the process; TV was old, too small & poor reception; blood on bathroom door. And so it goes on. Never ever again.
