On arrival our room was on the top floor - no problem - but passing one room I noticed a plastic spoon outside the room. When we left, 3 days later, it was still there! Our room had been cleaned but we noticed a layer of dust on some horizontal surfaces e.g. bedside table. That aside we had an enjoyable break. Remember it costs £5 to park and there is no guarantee of a parking space. The hotel is used by some trades people who have vehicles larger than the car park space; one night there was a truck that took up 5 spaces. Brewers Fayre next door had an issue with staffing one evening so closed early, fortunately we had booked our evening meal but those who turned up as walk in's had to be turned away - book your meal is the message.

A very good Premier Inn. Yes, it's the usual basic room, but for us it was exactly what we needed, and with AC, I am sure that it comes in handy during the summer. The team was professional and the service, cleaning and all was great. Having to pay for parking, as a hotel guest , is a bit odd. Just do it as part of the reservation.

Great hotel, good location, very comfortable and close to the town and the heritage railway, and a good price.

Poor check in service, allocated a room twice without the correct amount of beds, were stated rooms were going to be close together they weren’t even on the same floor. Dirty room, had to make our own beds once we eventually were given sheets. The windows do not open. The breakfast was very busy but the staff were friendly in the brewers fayre part. The location is good for holiday makers just a short walk to the sea but I would not stay here again.

The rooms were clean and comfy. But breakfast on Saturday morning was a joke, there was not enough staff who evidently couldn’t cope! Waited ages to be seated as tables weren’t being cleared. No plates, bowls, glasses, cups available and had to ask for them to be topped up. Coffee machine broken, all the food kept running out so there was massive queues for everything. (A guy in a red shirt was the only one that seemed to be trying to do it all! He needs a pay rise). Having said that we had breakfast on Sunday morning too and it was a completely different story and very well organised with different staff!

I've stayed in Premier Inns before and always had a great experience but Minehead was really disappointing. I wanted to book Friday to Monday but the website wouldn't let me I had to book Friday to Sunday then Sunday to Monday. We arrived at the hotel after a 7 hour drive on a Friday bank holiday weekend to be greeted by the receptionist she was friendly and the check in was quick. The first night I didn't sleep well due to having to listen to toilets flushing and people walking around above us. I'd booked a family room and there were 2 single beds pushed together that weren't even so it wasn't the comfiest. Breakfast the next morning was awful, we'd booked a cooked breakfast and there wasn't much to choose from. The pancakes were stale even after putting them in the toaster machine there wasn't much scrambled eggs bacon or sausages left so waited a while to see if they bought fresh out, after 10 minutes of waiting I just had 2 slices of toast and the boys went without so we went to Jubilee cafe on the sea front instead. Saturday night we went for dinner and the service was really poor they were really short staffed to the point people were queueing up to the door to be served as there was only one person serving. I had a lasagna which wasn't too bad but the boys had chicken tikka and fish and chips that they left. The chicken tikka had about 4 pieces of chicken and resembled a bowl of soup. Sunday morning we skipped breakfast and left a day early after another night of listening to toilets flushing. Standard wifi didn't work so upgraded to the premium one and it still didn't work so don't waste your money buying it. I tried to tell someone of the issues we had but there wasn't anyone around. I sent a feedback form but haven't heard anything apparently it takes them 35 days to respond they probably hope you'll forget about it.

I have stayed in many premier inn's, Travelodge, hotels and some have been really poor quality or smelly. Upon arrival at premier inn Minehead I was blown away with how immaculate and clean the hotel was. When you walk in it smells amazing. Loved the automatic opening doors to help getting in with suitcase. Staff were friendly and check it and out was seamless. The food at brewers fayre also exceeded expectations. Great portion sizes and actually really nice quality. The staff were so helpful and very on it! I actually feel very grateful for such a pleasant stay, it stood out.

We were booked to spend a week at Butlin’s but on arrival it was disgusting so we luckily managed to book the Premier Inn Monday-Friday which honestly, saved our holiday. Room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, food was great. Thank you so much.

Checked in after 3pm using self service machine. Room was clean and tidy. The bed was just fabulous, so so comfortable. We both slept really well with very little noise disturbance. Breakfast was only ok, there seemed to be only a few members of staff and it was very busy. No one to greet you on arrival and the hot food items were not being replaced very quickly. We did find a member of staff as we were leaving just to say we had been in and give the room number but was not as good an experience as the first time we stayed here. Won’t put us off staying again though!

The Premier Inn is always very good. And you know can't fault this except the breakfast was £10.99 a day , we were not allowed to use the blue light card as advised on the NHS & Brewers Fayre website ( small print basically prevents you from using it against most of their menu's) The head waitress would always let out a noticeable sigh whenever we asked for a table ( when the place was empty ) Extra charge for parking for the week. Went to Morrisons for cooked breakfast in the end . Other than this , bed comfy, all clean and tidy , no one cleans your room while you are staying , seems to be the new way now ( travel lodge the same) bins not emptied , scratching around for tea and coffee bits . Wifi free . Everything is very good but it's all.payout for extras - a continental breakfast should be thrown in for nothing.
