Maistra Select Astarea Hotel

Lovely hotel ,very clean ,great food in a beautiful place with stunning views stayed here in April a bit out of season very quiet we had the little village almost to ourselves just outside of Dubrovnik old town ideal spot with lots of little pebble beaches along the coast beautiful setting

Hotel clean great views however does not cater fully for dietary requirements and does not act on issue raised , Breakfast could be alot better and dinner buffet same also 50e + for buffet and when asked for a glass of water wanted to charge for it even the water you can drink from the tap in room. The adjacent building part of the hotel could hear chairs scraping and hear voices echoing in the morning hard to sleep big tour bus stop over always early starts for them . Location Pricey.....

Absolutely loved it.the hotel and location are stunning. The food was nice in the hotel.the service and food at the beachside bistro was excellent and their staff were wonderful. Will definitely be back again. The coastal view is beautiful and an ideal place for a relaxing holiday

In my opinion this hotel is underrated by a lot, 3 star is too low, In-fact better than some 4 stars I have been too. Rooms cleaned and freshed up every day ( bedding, shower gel tea coffee and towels) I was a little bit worried about location as wasn’t sure what would be around to get to the old town but there way, Bus stop right outside on the road And a boat port 5 minute walk. Food was great different food every day, and there was plenty of options, Staff were also very helpful so thank you I enjoyed my stay

The place is located in such a lovely place extremely calm and chilled I loved every moment. Unfortunately a couple of things nearer the end of holiday. We was in the annex type accommodation. Was small but was fine for 2 of us. But being woke up by chairs scraping across the floor constantly was a pain. They need the padding for the feet of chairs to stop this. ...... now our holiday was meant to end on the Friday but the flight was put back a day which meant we had another full day on the Saturday. After breakfast I asked if it was ok to leave luggage and have use of the facilities. Which would have been the pool and sun loungers. I was met with a no so with it being the last day and funds being low we couldn't really do much. We was allowed to stay around the bar and reception. Up until this I was planning on returning to same place but not after being met with a no .shame cos its a lovely place

We are currently here, and if it wasn’t for the stunning views and the lovely local people I would he eager to return home. On arrival we waited more than 3 hours for a room to be ready(it does state in fairness check in from 1400 hours) but of all the places around the world I’ve visited I’ve never had a room not be ready. I am a single mum travelling with three SEN kids. We were the last to get our rooms and had been travelling from 3am. Food is very limited and basic we are yet to be offered drinks with our evening meal, instead finishing our meals and heading up to bar to have a drink. We are quite often finished our main meal and dessert before any dishes are taken away. There is barely anything to choose from on both morning and evening buffets, last nights was awful and 2 of my children went away hungry. Rooms are small and lacking space, for the first time ever I’m living out my suitcase, but they are decorated well. The beds are comfortable too but it is a little cold on a night time. Our adjoining room has been cleaned daily but my room has not. I’m hoping this hotel steps up a little more to change my view. There is zero entertainment in the hotel and zero atmosphere, the hotel is catered for the much older generation. I expected more from this hotel after reading previous rooms but I’m sadly disappointed.
