Hotel le Samoyede

Cosy, classy and friendly. Excellent staff service and extensive breakfast with cooked dish option each day. Town centre location so a few minutes walk to both Morzine and Avoriaz lifts. Not to big but big enough for roomy spa , town square can be busy with activities so consider if picking a room. I like to watch things going on so a front balcony room suited me. If you do want free bus they all stop outside.

Excellent location in the centre of Morzine on the market square. 2 minutes walk to the Pleney or a bus stop right outside the hotel to Les Prodains and access to Avoriaz is no hassle on the free bus (line A). TOP TIP by the time the bus gets to this stop it can be quite full, so walk up the street towards the Pleney and just on the left is the first stop for this bus and you will always get a seat here! Staff at the hotel cannot do enough for you and are extremely friendly. The food at the hotel is of the highest quality and plentiful- every night a feast is served between 7.15-8.30pm. You chose what time within this range to dine. Facilities- spa area has a hot tub, sauna and steam and you must ask at reception to use it. Room facilities- they provide v good Nuxe shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturiser. Each room has a robe and slippers and a hair dryer in the bathroom (of the type you squeeze the handle to make it work)- it was decent with several heat level settings. If I was going to gripe about anything it would be that the room was warm and the air con didn’t seem to kick in - but to be fair on the hotel we didn’t ask them to help us with this we just left our balcony door open a little at night. There are plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobe and shelf space along with a safe. The boot room has boot warmers and you are provided with a lockable cupboard for your equipment. This is accessed down stairs. There is a really nice bar and outdoor terrace area that gets the evening sun. Would highly recommend staying here on half board basis as you get the freedom to wander about morzine prior to dinner and you don’t feel obliged to hang around at the hotel like you often do in fully catered chalets.

One of our favourite hotels anywhere, which we have returned to. Great location in the centre of Morzine near the Pleney lift. Warm, welcoming friendly, helpful and efficient staff, excellent food, very comfortable, clean rooms and attractive public areas. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous hotel. From the moment you walk in the friendly receptionist was a delight (sorry I didn’t ask your name). The room for 3 of us was huge and exceptionally clean with loads of storage space. Best of all the food, just a delight. Best food experience I’ve ever experienced in a ski hotel. Literally Michelin star class, the cheese board every night never failed to delight. Thank you all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We had a last minute change of plans when the lads ski trip to Canada had to be cancelled due to covid controls. I know, that sounds a bit posh for a lads trip but we had three seasons worth of ski money to splash! Anyway, skiweekends came to the rescue and through them we booked 5 nights in Le Samoyede. Bit fancier than normal for us, but turned out to be a great decision. The location is brilliant in the centre of Morzine, but add to that the fantastic food, great staff - in both the hotel and bar - and brilliant facilities, it added up to an amazing stay. One of the party got taken Ill at one point but the manager and staff were helpful and attentive throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you to all at le Samoyede for making this a memorable trip.

One of the Best hôtel I ever stages in France, the service, décoration and localisation are excellent, but over all the food very good and the chef is brillant. If you want to stay in morzine, this is the place to be.

Such a lovely hotel - superb location in the heart of town, with easy walking distance to the main lifts and bus stops. Bedrooms were of great quality, good size and with comfortable beds. The dinners were superb as well as outstanding service, throughout. Strongly recommend this hotel

Not the first time we have stayed here and it has to be said it NEVER fails to impress. The rooms are very traditional in style and clean and well equipped but the star of the who is the restaurant. Serving a fabulous meal each night with an exciting cheese trolley as an optional course the food here is wonderful (both dinner & breakfast). It has a good ski room to store your kit in between days on the pistes. This year we, for a change, used the spa. Very good and would thoroughly recommend mid-way through the week. The bar is good serving some great cocktails and at the end of a day skiing is nice and lively - As I've mentioned before though the thing that sticks out is the wonderful staff they have working here. Always smiling and always willing to help with a great deal of sincerity.

Le Samoyede is a treat! We stayed here for a short ski break Jan 2024. Definitely choose the 1/2 board option… the food was excellent and some of the best you can get in Morzine. The room was super comfortable and amazingly well insulated against the general business of the main square outside. What really made it great, however was the staff. Friendly, helpful and welcoming from the reception to the bar staff (in the great in-house bar) and in the restaurant, they weee all great. Thanks for a lovely few days!
