The location is good, 5 minutes walk to India Gate. Quiet at night. The rooms are old, the quality of cleaning is not very good.

I was astounded how shabby and run down the hotel has become! The front porch is dangerous to walk under as the roof materials are rotted and falling off. Last night two large wall panels fell off the building and more seem loose. Every repair seems badly done ! I looked at four rooms before finding one which didn’t need repairs! There are cracked tiles in bathrooms broken furniture etc! I emailed the owner but no response! The staff are great and the breakfast is ok but doesn’t have European breakfast! This is definitely not as described as four star!! It is in a disgraceful state of repair!!

We booked this hotel on the eve of our stay, as the previous hotel that we booked was not up to our expectations. I would say that the staff at Godwin are so helpful, they tried their best to make the check-in procedure go smoothly. They even offer us free breakfast on the check-in day. The room was big and very clean with a comfortable bed. Luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was good, a little bit limited, but was not an issue for me, I was able to adjust. The location is superb. walking distance to the gateway of India, and the shopping street of Colaba. Lots of good restaurants to eat nearby. The hotel also has a good dinner package. The staff helped us with our heavy luggage and sometimes when coming back from our shopping haul, they would carry our bags to our room. Hence I surely recommend this hotel

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It is located in south Mumbai and very close to tourist spots. The rooms are clean and quiet. We had room service, with clean sheets and towels, everyday for our 15 days stay. They also provided free 1L water bottles (2x) every day! What we most appreciated was the peace and quite from road noise. The AC worked well, there was good water pressure and hot water on de***d, which can be an issue in some Indian hotels. We also visited their rooftop restaurant which has an awesome view of south Mumbai. The food was delicious too. The room included breakfast which was mostly Indian cuisine which we did'nt care for, however, they were very accommodating and would prepare fresh eggs in any ***ner we chose. The ***ager at the restaurant, Edwin Daniel, was most helpful, professional and a pleasure to talk with. Overall our stay at the Godwin Hotel was very comfortable and we would highly recommend it.

Not as pictures, we didn’t get taken to roof top at all. Breakfast poor. Room was okay to be honest, bed was comfortable and fairly clean. Too much money for what it was , but we did go peak season. You are in heart of Colaba very close to all the major sight seeings. Staff helpful. But there was construction work going on whilst we were there, we woke up to banging and drilling the 3 mornings we were there.

Location of this hotel is excellent - quiet & a stone's throw from Colaba market. Proximity to ***y ***y restaurants & the street shopping. Rooms are spacious & well appointed - however housekeeping needs attention. Must visit their Cloud 9 cafe on the terrace. Health faucet wasn't working properly, the shower area water was stagnant. In all a good stay.

Very unfriendly staff at reception. Breakfast room staff okay but equipment in breakfast old and unattractive. Rooms are large but not well maintained - soap dispensers are filthy, door locks chain broken and cleaning service not efficient in general. Cloud 9 roof top restaurant - nice atmosphere, great city view but one waiter was rather disrespectful and rough in serving us - banged the dishes down on the table, no professionalism or finesse.

Not up to previous standards that I experienced at this hotel...very disappointing... The breakfast does not accommodate for foreigners especially kids. Most days kids went without breakfast. For a family of 4 they don't think of the space required for the room. Even though a super deluxe room was booked it was so small for 4 nights. With luggage all over hardly any space to move. Sadly disappointed even after complaining and asking for our room to be changed...nothing was done. Room even had a water leak.
