The hotel was cozing and had good accomodations. Although not too modern, the room was equipped with everything we needed and had great acoustics. Parking in the surroundings was not very easy depending on the moment of the day. Breakfast was nice, with variety of food and typically German food included. The staff was nice but not very welcoming. The neighborhood was not very near to the city center, but that worked out really good for us, since we got to experience the local life.

Wow. The Service was simply amazing. We travelled with a little child. The staff arranged a nice crib for our baby, the foldable type but with its own clean cushion, bedsheets and towels. The hotel’s design is simple, our room was super clean, it smelled nice and it had a nice warm temperature. We are super happy to have stayed here and congratulate the management and employees for their customer centered service.

I chose the hotel based on its location, the hotel located just 20 minutes by foot from the bus station and old town. It’s a budget hotel so you shouldn’t expect much, however everything was nice for it’s price: friendly staff, a clean room, nice breakfast. There was only one bottle of water for two people and no toiletries (only all-in-one gel) so make sure to bring your own. It was a big noise at day and in the evening, but at night nothing bothered me. Overall I would say that it’s pretty nice hotel for a short trip.

Very good location with the airport express bus stopping right in front of the hotel. Directly opposite Munich central train station. Next door is a small convenience store. Extremely good value for money with room big enough for 4 beds, many power outlets and all bedsides came with bedside reading lights. Has a desk for traveller who needs to catch up with some work. Toilet is well equipped complete with clean towels, heater, hot water & great shower area. Wardrobe is large and this is supplemented by an additional hanging rod beside it. Room had a musty smell when we first entered but this dissipated quickly once we opened the large window to let him fresh (& super cool (cold?) air. Reception gave us a brand new kettle (packaging intact with all the plastic coverings) and this helps us to eat some instant noodles- we checked in too late to have any decent meal. Highly recommended to travellers who need an overnight stay to catch a train the next day from Munich central train station. Our experience is contrary to those who wrote negative reviews.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Don't let the photos, high stars and several good reviews trick you, like they tricked my husband and I. Initially when we booked our room we expected a spacious and clean 1 + 1 room with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. But when we were at the reception, one of the staff members explained to us that we had gotten a completely different room because ”they don't give out rooms based on pictures” but rather instead have their own system of stages or levels and you don't even know which exact room you get when booking. They claim the one we booked was a tiny room that could barely fit my family of four and several luggages (we had been traveling overseas for a month).There wasn't even any space to walk between the beds or between the luggages, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I couldn't even close the door because our room was so small. The bathroom was infested with bugs on the ceiling and walls, the whole place smelled of obnoxiously strong perfume to mask the disgusting odor of meat previously cooked in the kitchen and throughout the whole ”stage”, and most bothersome of all, neither my family and I nor our luggages could fit in our small room. After explaining that we wouldn't be able to spend almost a week in this room, I spent over an hour trying to convince the people working at the reception to either give us our originally booked room or refund our money back and they said they couldn't do EITHER of them because the hotel was fully booked and since we paid online it wouldn't have been possible to give us our money back. What a scam! After a while of arguing, they finally agreed to let us stay one night in the room we paid for in the first place and refunded the rest of the money to us. My husband and I spent the rest of our day searching for a new hotel during the busiest time in Munich when every hotel was fully booked for the next few days. (In case you were wondering, we were able to find one that we loved for the rest of our vacation.) If our troubles only stopped there I wasn't going to take my time to write this review, but unfortunately the hotel staff and management had to disappoint me once again! The breakfast was not very good and the food was minimal, but more than that I felt like we were in the middle of a forest full of bees and flies, both outdoors and indoors. Not just one, but more than enough to prevent us from eating in peace. My kids kept screaming, and the jars of jam were full of bees. I informed a staff member and she brought back another jar in 5 minutes and I got some jam in time before it would be full of those bees again. If the doors of the hotel hadn't been open the whole time for them to come inside we wouldn't have had this problem. To make matters worse, my eldest daughter had been feeling sick for a few days and started feeling worse that morning, so her dad took her to get medical treatment leaving only me and my 8 year old daughter behind. An un-planned two-night stay here, necessitated by the temporary failure of Lufthansa, was a pleasant experience as the hotel offered a large and comfortable room with great heating and good (if older) ensuite amenities. It doesn't look like 'posh' hotel, but it was comfortable and the location is great for the Hbf rail station -and for one of the nightlife areas. It isn't a long walk from the old town either. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable.

The rooms are advertised as apart-hotel rooms for longer stays, but they are small and they mostly just traded a proper size wardrobe for a space for a kitchen sink and a microwave. The website says ”Kitchenette” but you can't really cook anything... Also, no dish soap or sponge is provided, and you have to grab plates and cutleries yourself from the restaurant area downstairs. This could easily be fixed. Also the website says there is a desk but there really isn't. What you get is a small coffee table with a low seat. Impossible to seat and expect to work comfortably on it. No laundry service or washing machines available in the hotel either. The receptionist pointed me to the mall to clean my clothes, which is very far if you don't have a car. They should at least have a partnership with external laundry service and organize pickups... Other than that, the staff was super friendly and professional. Nice hotel design, clean and good breakfast too. So I would recommend the place only for short stays.

We stayed here during Oktoberfest and the hotel was full but the only time you would notice was at breakfast. Big kudos to the staff who kept the breakfast area stocked and clean, they deserve a bonus because it was super busy. Breakfast was way better quality than what we get in the U.S. Our room was on the second floor and our view was the train yard. The windows are very good at keeping out the city noise and the hotel is designed well to reduce noise from other patrons. Room was clean except for some stains on the sofa upholstery and desk chair. Not sure why hotels used upholstered furniture that is tough to clean. Shower was good, plenty of hot water. Towels were too thin, they cheaped out on the towels. Location is good. Metro, tram and bus are very close by. Stephanie at the front desk was very helpful at checkout.

The lobby already welcomes guests with the unique and unidentifiable style of Niu Hotels. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Skicked and comfortable rooms. Clean, great bathroom, comfortable beds, bluetooth sound system, TV, oven, safe - just everything you can use so. Great drinks and snack bar. 24h reception. Very recommended.

This hostel is the place where you can stay on a short budget in Munich. Equipment is modern, but service is not high standard, e.g. you need to actively ask for bedsheets at the registration. Cleanliness is ok but not at top-notch level.
