Laimer Hof am Schloss Nymphenburg

Nymphenburg Palace Munich|0.54km from Nymphenburg Palace
It was very close to Nymphenburg Palace, so I chose this one. It was built in 1986 (the weather vane of the roof can see the year). It was converted from a residential building, so there is no air conditioning (no German air-conditioned residential buildings). The room is small, with a fan, a small fridge and no electric kettle. If you have large luggage or a large guest, you may feel that the room is too small and it is not convenient to turn around. The room is decorated in a retro style, the wardrobe is made of logs and the bed is a copper bed. The bathroom is also small. Although I live on the first floor, I am curious that the water pressure in the shower is still not stable. When the shower is open, the water flow is hot and cold, and the adjustment to the middle is more stable but not too hot (it seems to need fine adjustment). The hotel itself is in a residential area, so it takes a few streets to walk through the S1 (Laim station) or the tram 16/17 and the bus 51. There are edeka supermarkets around 7 or 8 minutes from the hotel. It is only a 5-minute walk from Nymphenburg Palace, and it is a good choice to spend the weekend there. The nearby Michelin restaurant schwaige nymphenburg is also great, and it is often full at dinner. Due to the residential area, the surrounding environment is very quiet, but the sound insulation of the room is not very good. The anteroom and restaurant are very nice and breakfast may be available at an extra charge. The service attitude of the hotel staff is very good, whether it is the front desk, the boss or the cleaning aunt is very friendly. Special thanks to the proprietress, who is in urgent need of rushing to the airport but can't find a taxi (German tram bus strike), and the peers are still ankles, they are willing to drive us to S1 station, and take the initiative to help us to smash our big bags. Baggage. This light can offset the small defects of the previous ones.

Ibis Muenchen City Arnulfpark

Ibis hotels are basically a little easier held in the equipment. But this Ibis is very modernly furnished and still relatively new. The beds are super comfortable and I had a room behind, making it wonderfully quiet. For environmental protection, you can voluntarily refrain from cleaning your room and get a drink ticket for the bar. A great idea! :) Breakfast is rich. I liked especially the waffle station where you can make fresh waffles yourself. The hotel has a bar that is open 24 hours and was well visited in the evening. There was just a Irish travel group in the house, which ruled a great and international atmosphere :) There was also a nuts donor that was made extra for the hotel by a screening. Great idea and super hygienic : ) I also liked the personal friendly service of the staff very particularly here. You realize they have fun! There are many disinfectant donors ready and overall I found the hotel very clean.

The hotel was cozing and had good accomodations. Although not too modern, the room was equipped with everything we needed and had great acoustics. Parking in the surroundings was not very easy depending on the moment of the day. Breakfast was nice, with variety of food and typically German food included. The staff was nice but not very welcoming. The neighborhood was not very near to the city center, but that worked out really good for us, since we got to experience the local life.
Living Hotel am Olympiapark

Until today I was ready to put 4 stars out of five. But now just one, because the experience is just terrible (my hotel is am Olympiapark). The situation is the following: I came to the reception asking for room prolongation. At that moment I wasn't sure when I might leave, but I understood that I might need earlier termination. So I doublechecked at the reception whether there would be any fines in case I pay for one month but might need to leave earlier (in 2-3 weeks). The answer was that there will NOT be any fines. So I paid for the month, having an understanding that everything is OK and whenever I need I can check out w/o losing money. But today, when I went to the reception and said that I need to check out this Friday, it appeared to be that I can NOT cancel the reservation now w/o losing money because I needed to warn them 14 days in advance, prior to the desired check-out date... I absolutely disagree, that it's my fault, as I came in advance (by the way 14 days in advance and warned), asked about possible fines, received the info that there won't be any fines and trusted the information I received. But now they say it was my fault and that their policies can't be challenged. Unfortunately, the arguments I provide don't work. Just contacted their central office, hoping that the solution can be found. Maybe I'm stupid and don't understand something. I've never experienced anything like this before...

Hotel Kriemhild am Hirschgarten

It’s a short 15-20 minute walk from Laim S-Bahn station (easy to get here straight from the airport). The nearby beer garden at Hirsch Garten is open till midnight (spring/summer at least) for food and drinks and there are some shops (pharmacy, bakery etc) nearby at Roman Platz is useful. We stayed overnight and took the kids to see the amazing Nyphenburg Schloss- again, really close. And the hotel kindly kept our luggage for us so that we could collect it later and travel by train to our next destination. The room was great (with separate room attached for our two kids), and breakfast fantastic. Really enjoyed our stopover here. Very friendly staff.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the A&O Laim and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! This charming hotel exceeded my expectations in every possible way, making my trip to Munich truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was delighted to find my room to be clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The modern decor and cozy ambiance instantly put me at ease, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast buffet offered by the hotel. With a wide variety of options ranging from fresh fruits and pastries to hearty eggs and breads, there was something to satisfy every palate. The dining area was spacious and well-maintained, and the attentive staff ensured that I had everything I needed to start my day on a high note. Lastly, I cannot praise the staff enough for their exceptional service. They were always available to provide helpful recommendations, whether it was suggesting local restaurants or providing directions to nearby attractions. Their genuine warmth and willingness to go the extra mile truly made me feel like a valued guest.
