Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel Reviews

This hotel’s location is really good. It is located right next to a major shopping mall with lots of good restaurants and stores. It’s located within walking distance from Xuanwu Gate 玄武门 and Xuanwu Lake 玄武湖. It’s right next to a subway that provides easy access to other parts of Nanjing like the Nanjing Museum 南京博物院 or the Confucian Temple area 夫子庙. The rooms were clean and everything in it felt high quality. The view of Nanjing from my room was beautiful. Although the hotel staff are very friendly, I marked the service and amenities as 4/5 for a few reasons. First, laundry is relatively expensive whereas at Atour 亚朵 it’s free. If i remember correctly, they wanted me to pay 35 or so rmb per article of clothing. Secondly, the hotel allows delivery of takeout but they do not send it to your room like they do at Atour 亚朵. You have to go to the lobby and pick it up yourself. These are the only two things that stop me from giving all 5/5s. Other than that, I loved this hotel especially for its location and comfortable rooms. If you dont care about doing laundry or having takeout ordered directly to your room, then those two criticisms are relatively minor things. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel regardless.

This is old hotel situating opp the historical 玄武湖。the facilities and amenities are Aging but still allocable if you want to have a good early morning walk and late night stroll along the lake .

Very convenient. Train station is just to the left of the hotel. Lots to eat around. Central location to all other tourists spots.

Amazing service good location near the metro station and walking distance to the city center. I highly recommend it for short or long stays

The metro station is right at site and all spots in the city can be easily reached. Breakfast is delicious. All in all: I would book this hotel again.

I planned to go to Hongshan Park, but due to the weather, I went to other places. Xiao Su at the front desk of the hotel was very good, and helped me arrange the room upgrade. I spent the money of a boutique hotel and stayed in a five-star hotel. Although the room decoration is not so new, it is well maintained. Those with children can bring a swimsuit. I temporarily ordered takeout. When the weather is bad, it is also good to soak in the hotel swimming pool. The room response speed is very fast. If a bath towel is needed, it will be solved within 10 minutes. Moreover, the aunt who delivered the bath towel is very polite with a smile. If the front desk staff can take the initiative to smile and greet customers when they see them, it should be more points. Friends who come to Jiming Temple and near Xuanwu Lake can come to this restaurant. The price-performance ratio is still good.
