The British Colonial is a lovely hotel. Everyone is so nice and friendly, and so willing to help. Couldn't fault a thing. From parking the car to handing me a pen for a meeting when mine ran out - everyone was so nice and helpful. The pool area, bar and rooms are all beautifully turned out and have a really nice atmosphere. A great place to stay.

Raymond and Omar are the best barman’s in Nassau…. The beach crew are very helpful and very friendly along with all the staff in the hotel. It’s close to shopping downtown so no need for a hire car. The only slight complaint is the motion activated air conditioning in the rooms, I don’t get that at night…. The hotel is absolutely wonderful and clean and no noise…. Absolutely would love to come again and had a wonderful time

This place is so nice. Service is top notch. Everyone is so nice and attentive. Room is pristine with comfortable bed and luxurious linens including a nice robe and slippers. I had a breakfast voucher and had the buffet where omelets were made right there and selection was quite good. Happy hour 4-6pm with food specials and buy one get one free well drinks. Live music tues & Thurs. outdoor area is amazing with many lounge day beds. 2 pools and private beach with sup, kayak and paddle cycle available (free). Daily turn down service with bottled water provided. Inside is very glamorous. It wasn’t very busy when we were here. Room charges were accurate. If I go back I am 100% staying here.

Great stay in the centre of Downtown Nassau. Lots to do in the local area but very tourist based. Rooms are boxy/cosy considering it was an upgrade but had a fantastic view of sea, pool and general outside. Had an issue on the first day when no-one had come to clean my room by lunchtime. I went to reception and requested, but it was still not service when I returned by 6pm, so had to request again, when it was finally resolved. The hotel has been restored beautifully, but I think they should share more about the eating options, so that you get value for money. I don't think the daily service fee is worth it for a few bottles of water, when the nightly rate is quite high. I would suggest breakfast is included, otherwise most people go out into town, as it's much cheaper.

Beautiful communal areas and lovely staff. Beach area pretty but small and disappointing because of all the cruise ship traffic. No sea life or space for water sports. What should have been a relaxing stay became extremely stressful because they took a HUGE DEPOSIT WHICH I STILL CANNOT GET BACK 4 months later. Most hotels taking a holding deposit but they actually took hundreds of dollars out of my account which I DID NOT SPEND. Despite admitting this error they are now completely ignoring me and not returning my money. This left me - as a single mother on a tight budget - in great financial difficulty for the remainder of my holiday so ended up extremely stressed rather than relaxed. So please proceed with caution.

Beautiful pool and beach area. great staff very warm and friendly. We had a wonderful weekend stay. Would definitely recommend . Desmond was exceptional each morning at breakfast.Keilah at the front desk made booking and check in effortless, she is the best. We will be back.
