After checking in, Johannes made sure I had everything I needed in my room (mini fridge, kettle, natural water, etc.). Because I had an extended stay, my room was cleaned every day. The bed was a little harder than I had hoped but I know most people like firmer beds. The room was big and spacious and I had enough room to open three big suitcases on the floor. Breakfast was delicious and everyone made sure I had my coffee in the morning (very important). I am an early riser and wish that breakfast was served earlier than 0630, but whenever I needed an early feed, all I needed to do was let Johannes know and he accommodated my requests. With the hotel being a small, family run hotel, it was easy to communicate my needs and the family did all they could to meet them. There is an automatic bar in the dining room where you can swipe your key card and get soda's, beer and ciders. The charge would be put on your room and it was easy to get the bills separated at check out. This hotel only served breakfast, but there are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (a gastro pub style restaurant that served delicious tapas and an Italian restaurant) and the food was quite good. Other places in walking distance: a medical clinic, a pharmacy, a bank, a beautiful walk way along the river and the train station ready to take you wherever you desired. The hotel is about an hour drive from the beautiful Nuremberg. Check out Nuremberg Free walking tour if interested. Rita was oh so helpful and sweet and she's always doing something around the property to make it look beautiful, welcoming and classy. The family's primary business is a catering business and they also has a few ready made meals sold in grocery stores. I was able to purchase a chickpea curry and it was DELICIOUS. I would most definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. You should too.
