Beautiful boutique hotel in a fabulous building. Staff were exceptionally polite, helpful & well trained. Food was excellent evening meal and breakfast. We used the Spa facilities which were as good as any we’ve been to. Will come back when working this way in the next few weeks.

A quintessential English country house hotel with modern facilities. Pleasant refurbished room with large walk in shower. Excellent spa. Good menu choice in restaurant with views over countryside to Hay Tor.

This is my favourite hotel. Beautiful setting. Good food. Access to a spa and gym and, best of all, the friendly, welcoming but professional staff. They seem to enjoy their work which is always a good sign I think. The rooms are pleasant and clean and there is a very quick response if anything is wrong. If you want to relax in comfort, this is a lovely hotel.

Fantastic stay at the Ilsington. Beautiful location, clean rooms, excellent food and lovely spa facilities. Every member of staff was friendly and was always willing to do anything we needed. Will definitely go back.

A lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. The spa is great as is the gym. Rooms are a bit tired and walls are thin , I could hear the conversation next door. What really makes this a marvellous hotel though is the staff. Friendly without being intrusive , polite and helpful with any query. I think it’s a little overpriced but would certainly recommend for a relaxing weekend break.

Great hotel on the edge of Dartmoor with a wonderful spa and friendly staff. Our room was large and very attractive with views across to the countryside. The lounges are really comfortable with board games and great service.

Lovely spa experience, and exceptional friendly staff let down with a poor room quality (22) toilet window did not close properly and luke warm water for the bath ( a tap issue not a water issue), reception made aware but no-one followed up our issue, as we were only stopping 2 nights we did not pursue the issues.

I recently visited Ilsington country house for an overnight spa experience with a friend. The whole experience was top class. Staff were very polite and welcoming, food was great, lovely relaxing spa facilities and massage treatment was amazing. Highly recommended a trip here.

Our fourth stay. A beautiful country hotel which feels special but is value for money. Friendly staff, great food, lots of space and a well equipped gym, pool and spa. All within walking distance of the open moor.
