Muri Shores

What an amazing spot! If you are after a quiet getaway right on the beach, with a magnitude of eateries close by and muri night markets right at the back door, look no further! The owners were amazing and easy to deal with. The villas were immaculate and the views were impeccable. Plenty of activities to do close by also!

From booking right through to departure we couldn't fault Muri Shores. Owners, staff, villa, cleanliness, helpfulness, location, vehicle, Wi-Fi free in-house, air conditioning - everything you could want. Authentic but modern. So good we are only two days back home and have already booked again for April 2025!! 200% recommend this place if you are either a novice to Rarotonga, or a repeat traveler to this wonderful island. We recently travelled to Raro and stayed at Muri Shores. The villa was exactly the same as the photos. Our Villa was right on the beach. It was clean and tidy on arrival and even had fruit and breakfast supplied for our first couple of days. The hosts were fantastic and went out of their way to accommodate us. They returned all our queries quickly and efficiently. We would highly recommend staying here. The location is also great, close to restaurants and other resorts. The beach was clean and tidy. We even saw a turtle while out swimming right outside our Villa. The bed was large and comfortable. We would definitely stay at Muri Shores again if we travelled to Raro again.

Muri Shores was the perfect location for us. It felt like being in paradise. The villa was exactly what we were looking for and the beach and water like a dream. We had kayaks, bicycles, perfect support for all upcoming questions. The nightmarket was very close, other places to eat and drink as well. The bus stop also was close. We can definitely fully recommend this place and thank Krystina and Eugene very much for creating such a wonderful accomodation.

What more could you ask for. We were 4 couples who had a front villa each. We were in our own private paradise walking out onto a beautiful beach. Krystina and her team bent over backwards, nothing was to big or to small to make your stay one to remember which I thank you for. Although we planned to cook a couple evening meals this was not necessary as night market and Sailing Club restaurant next door were available. If I knew what I do now would have arranged the nights that the Muri food markets were open to purchase from them, beautiful Meals with lots of variety and right behind accommodation so you could eat there or take it back to your villa. Used busses for few day's which stopped at the end of our entrance before renting a car from across the road great service. If you are looking for self catering accommodation then this is the one, I was nervous about my choice as first time to Rarotonga and was organizing this for group of 8 but my decision was definitely the right one and hopefully we will be back.

Perfect location amazing villas. Fantastic welcome package. Villa has everything you need for a self contained stay , including a Kayak. Communication was great with Krystina. Best accommodation we have ever stayed in will definitely return.

We had 5 nights here, which was just enough to enjoy quite a bit of what Muri beach has to offer. The beachfront accommodations are stellar. Very nice design and decor and reliable wifi and AC too (tho we didn't need to use it). The cross breeze was delightful and overhead fan perfect to keep cool at night. We didn't miss the presence of a front desk/reception as Krystina was always very reachable and responsive. It was so fun to have complimentary access to bicycles and the 2 pp kayak which we took out to the motus (islands) multiple times. Being located right next to the Muri Beach was great for food and drink options. The Night Market is nearby and we dined there multiple times -so fun to be so close! As other travelers stated - the noise from the market was not at all noticeable. However you will hear the drumming from the highly acclaimed Koka and Captain Tamu tour boats. Be ready for the entertainment of this as you will certainly hear it from your idyllic sea front lanai. We so appreciated the the special touches from the management; the welcome pack of fruits and treats, as well as very friendly hospitality. Thank you! We loved our time there and certainly hope to return.

Me and my husband stayed at Muri Shores for almost three weeks, during Christmas and New Year. From the very first contact with the owners Krystina and Eugene we got the best impression. We had a bungalow by the beach. The bungalow is quite spacious and has a small kitchen. I like that you take care of yourself, not having housekeeping knocking on the door daily. You could easily get in touch with the staff if you needed a change of towels or a cleaning. The location is great. Just a few steps away you have a great restaurant, night market is just around the corner and other great places to eat. It was also easy 20 minutes bus ride into the town. Muri shores have a car for rent. We didn't rent it this time, which we regret. The price is good and it's so convenient that the car is right there. We enjoyed sitting on our patio every evening playing cards. But the time we were there it was quite windy, but they have a plastic wind cover which you easily roll down to have it less windy. Each bungalow has a kayak for two and we went out in the lagoon pretty much every day and we were often joined by a sea turtle!!! This is also the spot where the lagoon cruises take off from. We had a late flight on our departure day and we were given a late check out. We only have the best to say about the bungalow, the location and must of all the owners!!! This will be the place we'll stay whenever we go back to beautiful Rarotonga!!!

Our trip to Muri Shores was perfect from start to finish. Krystina and Eugene and nicest hosts you could wish to meet - nothing is too much trouble. Very chilled and relaxed with everything we needed for a great holiday. Stunning position on the beach, spotlessly clean villa (thank you Edna and staff). If you are visiting the Cook Islands then look no further than Muri Shores. Just book it - you won’t regret it. We will be back.
