Park Hyatt Ningbo Resort & Spa

While there are many luxury resorts around the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region, very few genuinely entice my family and me to return repeatedly. However, the picturesque Park Hyatt Ningbo, nestled by mountains and water, is definitely one of them. Although the hotel has been open for fourteen years, and the room decor and hardware facilities honestly show their age a bit, the biggest advantage of being built early is its exceptionally prime location. In other words, it occupies the best, most central spot in the Dongqian Lake area, truly standing out from the crowd. In fact, when staying at a resort like this, there's little need to venture out in search of beautiful scenery or delicious food (unless you're staying for more than three nights). The shimmering blue waters and verdant mountains here offer a new view with every step and every moment. As you stroll, you'll encounter ancient structures and historical sites (like the Tea House), a visual blend of Chinese and Western aesthetics (such as the Red Restaurant), Black Pearl-rated Chinese delicacies (Qianhu Fish Port), and Park Hyatt's top-tier Western cuisine (Yue Xuan). Add to that the newly opened petting zoo (with peacocks, miniature pigs, black swans, lambs, deer, and rabbits) and an organic farm (with various fruits and vegetables), and guests can easily lose themselves in enjoyment without ever leaving the property. Of course, what truly satisfies my family and me most is the hotel's professional, warm, attentive, and thoughtful service. A special thank you to the hotel management and service team who provided such careful care and attention during our stay. This includes some staff whose names I know and many more whose names I don't (or didn't remember), such as Director of Rooms Brown, Front Office Manager Catherine, Director of Food & Beverage Lily, Yue Xuan Restaurant Manager Vivian, and Pastry Chef Leo. It is precisely their dedicated efforts that create such memorable Park Hyatt experiences for guests. Park Hyatt Ningbo, we must come again!

I've stayed here many times, but this visit had quite a few unexpected hiccups. ^_^ **Facilities:** The first night, I stayed in a standard Park Hyatt room, which felt a bit outdated. Later, due to some facility issues, we moved to a newly renovated deluxe courtyard twin room for our second night, and the facilities were significantly upgraded. Everything from the lighting to the hairdryer showed a big improvement. **Cleanliness:** Pretty good overall, but again, the unrenovated Park Hyatt rooms were just okay, while the renovated ones were much better. **Environment:** The hotel environment is excellent!!! **Breakfast:** Superb! Check out the pictures. My wife absolutely loved the apricot almond cheese, oatmeal, and chia seed pudding 😍 **Service:** Regarding the room issues this time, a big thank you to Cody and Zach for their coordination. The overall service was still very good.

A perfect, high-standard stay! The room was elegant, the bedding incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail was impeccable. A special shout-out to Alora for her warm, attentive, and prompt service. She anticipated my needs perfectly and provided thoughtful care throughout my stay, making me feel truly valued. From check-in to check-out, the process was seamless and every detail thoughtfully handled. This hotel is definitely a benchmark in its class and well worth revisiting and recommending.

The hotel's public areas are lovely. The breakfast buffet was delicious, especially the freshly baked *shaobing* (sesame flatbread), which was incredibly fragrant. The coffee was also good with plenty of choices, and the juices were fresh. The hotel itself is beautiful, very much like a resort in Sanya. The toiletries provided were also of good quality.

Traveling to Ningbo for the May Day holiday, I chose to stay at the Park Hyatt. Jane from the guest services center even called me in advance to ask about my needs and help with arrangements, which was very thoughtful. The Park Hyatt Ningbo is more than just a hotel; it's a living ancient Jiangnan village. The hotel has perfectly preserved the historical fabric of Dayantou Village, where grey walls, dark tiled roofs, small bridges, flowing water, and Chinese courtyards are cleverly integrated. You can stroll along the preserved Anshi Dam, explore ancient Song dynasty wells, or enjoy a cup of tea in the tea house, which is converted from the Dai Family Ancestral Hall. Every corner here is full of stories, and any photo you take will be a stunning shot with a strong Eastern charm. It's an excellent place to experience the coexistence of a thousand-year-old cultural legacy and modern luxury.

Who said Hyatt Regency Ningbo's service was bad? I visited during the May Day holiday and experienced nothing but warmth. For example, a butler proactively asked if I needed help when I was lost, a driver stopped by the lake to ask if we wanted a ride, and a thoughtful intern at the front desk inquired if we needed a baby cot. The breakfast was also excellent; the freshly squeezed carrot juice was so sweet! Although the courtyard room we were upgraded to wasn't a newly renovated one, you could still see the avant-garde and artistic feel of its decor from over ten years ago. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Overall, my experience was pretty good. While the prices were a bit high due to the May Day holiday, the stay was still enjoyable. The outdoor breakfast, especially on a lovely sunny day, was an absolute delight! Thumbs up!

After much deliberation, I chose Park Hyatt. The room was indeed a bit dated, but any small issues were promptly resolved. Breakfast was good, and the Black Pearl Chinese restaurant was excellent. The public areas, scenery, and environment were all impeccable. It's a bit far from the city center, but perfect if you're mainly exploring Dongqian Lake, and it's close to Jianshe Village. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Overall, the hygiene and environment were pretty good. The Qianhu Fishing Port was excellent, and the butler service was quite attentive. However, the concierge wasn't great; they lacked initiative and didn't offer to help with luggage. Also, when I stored my bag, the concierge must have dropped it because I found several scratches after loading it into the car.
