New Century Grand Hotel Ningbo Zhongdu

The hotel is very close to Ningbo Station, just across the street from the South Square, which is super convenient if you need to catch a train or bus the next day. However, the breakfast was pretty average. There were also kids running around and chasing each other in the lobby quite fast, and I guess the hotel staff found it hard to manage.

Ningbo was the sixth stop on our self-drive tour of nine cities in Zhejiang, and we stayed at the Ningbo Zhongdu New Century Grand Hotel, which we were very satisfied with overall. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the south square of Ningbo Railway Station. For those traveling by car, the hotel boasts a huge free underground parking lot, making parking very convenient, especially for self-driving trips. The hotel lobby has a dignified and grand business style, and the front desk service was warm and efficient. We even received fresh fruit upon check-in. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the facilities were well-equipped. The hygiene was impeccable; the room was neat and meticulous, making for a truly reassuring and comfortable stay. Overall, from its convenient location and comfortable rooms to its excellent hygiene management, the comprehensive performance was quite satisfying. It's a perfect stopover point for self-driving tours in Ningbo.

It was pretty good. The breakfast was nice, it's close to the train station, and the price was affordable!

The room is large, spacious, and bright, impeccably clean with new facilities. The environment is beautiful, and the breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of options. The service attitude is great; the room was well-cleaned, and the staff were enthusiastic, friendly, patient, and proactive. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! That five-star rating feels completely bought. There's not even a mini-fridge in the room. The weather has been warming up, but the AC couldn't be turned to cool. Even with the AC off, the room temperature at night was still 28 degrees Celsius, muggy and hot. Although the staff eventually brought a portable air cooler, its fan power was weaker than my regular home fan. Plus, the moment I walked in, I saw items left behind by the cleaning staff that hadn't been tidied up. The booking mentioned fruit, but I only received it after reminding them. This is, by far, the worst five-star hotel experience I've ever had. I had booked for two nights but promptly checked out on the second day. Other than being close to the high-speed rail station, there was absolutely nothing positive about my stay.

Got an upgrade, the room was very spacious. It's very close to the high-speed rail station, just a five or six-minute walk. Right outside is a large park, but I didn't have time to explore it.

This was my second time staying at the Zhongdu Kaiyuan Hotel, and I spent two comfortable nights there. It's really convenient for getting around, being so close to both the train station and Ningbo South Bus Station. The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was excellent!
