An historic property which has undergone a disappointingly cheap refurbishment. That said, the place is absolutely spotless throughout & staff were incredibly friendly & kind.
Evening food in the bar was rather average. Breakfast was fine, hot food cooked to order.
The main thing to note is this:
This is not a boutique hotel. The photos don’t show how plastic/fake the bedroom furniture is, or how cheap the bathroom fixtures are. If management had actually spent on linens, furnishings, blackout blinds & soundproofing it could almost be boutique, but as it stands its exterior far outclasses its interior.
