The time period that came was all rain and snow, not the good weather for skiing, and it took 4 days to slide, and I could not see the magnificent scenery. The residence of the Chateau Hotel did not disappoint as a whole. Although there is no big five-star hardware in China, it is full of nostalgic atmosphere, and you can see the remaining British service that is not humble. The restaurant in the lobby offers a Michelin standard for dinner and is very cost effective. The food quality of the cafe attached to the hotel is slightly worse. As for the food of a Bistro opposite the hotel, it is not flattering, but you can relax with a glass of wine. The small swimming pool in the basement is only 90cm deep, which is only suitable for children to play in the winter and the water temperature is very warm. The small movie hall is good. Many hiking routes around the hotel are not difficult and the air is excellent. Insufficient place in the hotel: there is no delicious bread for breakfast, the toiletries are too simple. Only the big cans on the wall are squeezed out for the first two nights. The level of Motel must be spit. The hotel is just below the snow-capped mountains, and you can see the snow-capped mountains when you go out. The environment is good. The entrance to the hotel is the hiking entrance of the national park. It is very convenient to book a shuttle to the hotel to go skiing in the ski resort. The room is very warm in winter. There is a small refrigerator, a kettle, a coffee cup, a communal kitchen, and a restaurant where you can book breakfast and dinner. The only downside is that there is no hot water in the late meeting, so I can't take a shower.

The location is excellent, you can see the Tongari Lilu Snow Mountain, the surrounding environment is good, there are trails at the entrance, not far from the town center supermarket, driving is very convenient. The room is clean and has a kitchen and a spa.

Stayed 1 night with my wife, room was clean and comfortable, the view was beautiful, food and staff was perfect. Plenty of thing to do we did the walks next time mountain biking Would I go back and recommend to friends and family HELL yes I loved staying there and will be going back soon.

Coming from Danmark, entering this peaceful place at Marie and Bernie was a really good experience. So nice to hear” Hej, jeg hedder Marie og er dansk”( hello, I am Marie, from Denmark)! In quitely surroundings, the most friendly hostes, clean and luxury rooms. You felt welcome at once. A little terrace at each room and a beutifull garden, straight up to golf course. The breakfast are served in their own dining room, where Marie and Bernie cook for you. All placed just near by a lot of sport activities. Little village Okahune in 5 km with good dining posibilities. We warmly recommend this place. Vagn og Lisbeth

A group of us stayed in the chalet. It was comfortable and great for a group. A short stroll to the powderhorn for dinner. Friendly hosts. There were a couple of minor issues that they fixed straight away. Happy to recommend as a great spot to base you and your friends for an Adventure weekend in Ohakune. Winter or summer. And check out the local takeout The Blind Finch - for the best burgers, pies and danishes!!

Handy to town restaurants and the mountain. An old style motel but it is Clean and tidy with what looked like recent paint and decorating within the unit. Good easy parking. Nice amount of tea and coffee. Shower had poor water pressure and should be better given the amount of money you pay to stay there. Would not recommend a mountain view room as the extra cost is not worth it . No fault of the motel but Mother Nature meant we did not see the mountain for the two days we were there. Ground floor units are the same as the second story but at a much cheaper price. No shower gel for the two days we were there. Desperately needs a heater and extraction fan in the bathroom. Staying in a ski town where temperatures can dip below zero made the bathroom freezing cold and unpleasant when getting changed. A heat pump would also be great instead of a stand alone heater in the main room. Only saw the staff on checking and it is encouraged to just leave the key in the Dropbox on departure. Third step from the bottom of the north end staircase is broken and the only thing stopping you from falling through is the rubber mat screwed to the step. We did not want to ring the bell to let them know as the young mum has at young child which meant having to come down stairs holding the toddler and we just felt bad about that. Please also check the step closer to the top. Sorry but won’t stay again and will look for something that has extras like heat pump, decent shower and a bit more modern. Lady on check in is pleasant and friendly and change our room without fuss when our shower was found to be broken and did not work.
