Extended Stay America Suites - Oklahoma City - Northwest

Was sent there after the ESA at Northwest Highway called and said they didn't have one of the rooms I had a reservation in advanced for. The rooms are good size and have a better kitchen then you find at most ESAs. You get a galley kitchen with a big sink, range/oven combo, fridge, and tons of cabinets (though clearly dated) . Some rooms even have a dishwasher. There are no double bed rooms so instead they have a room with a queen and a pullout couch and a single queen roo.. Lighting was good a pretty up to date but in the single room there was no drawers for putting my cloths in. Good eating areas in both rooms and big open closet but seems a bit wasted space. The carpets in the hotel though are filthy. My wife's room wasn't as bad as mine but if she had light socks they would be black from walking around. In my room it was worse and areas were torn exposing metal. I had to wear shoes for most of the time in the room. This extends to halls too. It seems as they almost never have them deeply steam cleaned or properly replaced. WiFi was also spotty and would only work in certain parts of the room. It generally would not work when around the beds. I had daily calls that I would have trouble using this hotels wifi when at other ESAs it works fine. If these two issues were fixed this would be 3.5 but would not want to stay here again. Also don't expect to use the pool as it is out of operation. Talked to someone who stays there often and it hasn't been in operation for the last 2 years or so with no plans to fix it. If true then they should not have it advertised as having a pool.

Check in was strange. When my credit card needed a PIN number the clerk immediately said it won’t work and I’ll take cash? When PIN was accepted she said that never happens?? Really? The room was lovely! Newly decorated, comfortable bed, nice linens but the bathroom only had one tiny bottle of shampoo and one bar of soap. Nothing else. Not a problem but give guests a heads up you’re not suppling. The rooms walls were also paper thin. Guests next door were not partying or anything but still loud. So glad I packed ear plugs because needed to use. The room was clean and plentiful hot water with good pressure.

This hotel has fairly recently been renovated. The bathrooms are updated and have a shower rather than a tub, which is highly preferred when we travel. The window also has a blackout shade instead of the curtains that gap. Very dark in the room!🙂. The bed was. Wry comfortable and the linens were nice with very thick towels and soft sheets. It would have been nice to have a softer pillow, but that’s being a little nit picky. But I saved the best for last!! From the minute I walked in the door to the second I said goodbye at the front desk I felt like a valued member of the family! Mauz at the front desk gave me the best room and a big smile! He was so friendly and efficient! That evening we stopped in at the bar for a nightcap and had the pleasure of meeting Mike, the bartender! He’s the greatest guy! We stayed much longer visiting just because we enjoyed him so much! We were lucky enough to have Mike fix and serve our breakfast the next morning. He must wear many hats and he wears them well! There were two ladies at the front desk when I checked out and both were personable and friendly. I can’t end this review without giving a big shout out to the cleaning staff. Our room was immaculate!! I’ve added this hotel to my contacts. We will be back! Great location too for a good selection of restaurants close by.

The hotel should be three and a half stars. It's quite new. Although the restaurant is open during the epidemic prevention period, it feels very heartwarming; and the food is fresh, but the price is not expensive. It is rare during the epidemic.

Ended up needing a quick one night stay locally. I used points, so that drove my decision on where to stay. On the lower end of cost, whether using cash or points, it is not a horrible property, but does nothing to elevate itself above average. The front desk staff was welcoming and pleasant upon check-in and throughout the duration of the stay. The entire property is a bit dated and definitely too dark - the halls are dark, the room was dark (zero ceiling lights), and the energy is non-existent. On the positive end, there are several restaurants (ranging from high-end to casual) within a 2 - 3 minute walk, so that is nice. My room, 601, was on the 6th floor at the very end of the hall. For being next to the turnpike, surprisingly noise was not an issue. As stated, however, the room was dark. In addition, there were dirty towels on hook on the backside of the bathroom door that the cleaning staff had missed, the shower had small spots of soap scum and a long hair from a previous guest. The couch sank in several spots, but the bed was comfortable. The air in the room was also horribly dry given winter and the heat running. There is a hot breakfast in the morning that was about expected for this level of lodging. There were breakfast burritos, pre-made omelets and mini-bagel breakfast sandwiches. The burritos were bad, the omelets okay and the mini-bagels pretty darn good. There was also coffee, cereal, muffins and juice. Overall, for using points and just needing one night, the stay met my needs. If I had paid out of pocket, I may have been a bit more frustrated. It was an average one night local stay.

This is the worse I’ve ever experienced with Wyndham. When I arrived with my confirmation and booking ID I was told there was no reservation in their system. After waiting for over 30 minutes they still couldn’t find it so they gave me a different room. I reserved a non smoking room but was given a smoking room instead. The front desk lady acted as if she didn’t care if I reserved one or not and wasn’t apologetic about the mix up. The rooms were not clean. The covers were stained, the furniture and decor was written on and had childrens paint and nail polish on them. The toilet was FILTHY. It had urine and hair and dirt on the bottom of it. The room smelled horrible.
