Four Points by Sheraton Oklahoma City Quail Springs

This hotel has fairly recently been renovated. The bathrooms are updated and have a shower rather than a tub, which is highly preferred when we travel. The window also has a blackout shade instead of the curtains that gap. Very dark in the room!🙂. The bed was. Wry comfortable and the linens were nice with very thick towels and soft sheets. It would have been nice to have a softer pillow, but that’s being a little nit picky. But I saved the best for last!! From the minute I walked in the door to the second I said goodbye at the front desk I felt like a valued member of the family! Mauz at the front desk gave me the best room and a big smile! He was so friendly and efficient! That evening we stopped in at the bar for a nightcap and had the pleasure of meeting Mike, the bartender! He’s the greatest guy! We stayed much longer visiting just because we enjoyed him so much! We were lucky enough to have Mike fix and serve our breakfast the next morning. He must wear many hats and he wears them well! There were two ladies at the front desk when I checked out and both were personable and friendly. I can’t end this review without giving a big shout out to the cleaning staff. Our room was immaculate!! I’ve added this hotel to my contacts. We will be back! Great location too for a good selection of restaurants close by.

Ended up needing a quick one night stay locally. I used points, so that drove my decision on where to stay. On the lower end of cost, whether using cash or points, it is not a horrible property, but does nothing to elevate itself above average. The front desk staff was welcoming and pleasant upon check-in and throughout the duration of the stay. The entire property is a bit dated and definitely too dark - the halls are dark, the room was dark (zero ceiling lights), and the energy is non-existent. On the positive end, there are several restaurants (ranging from high-end to casual) within a 2 - 3 minute walk, so that is nice. My room, 601, was on the 6th floor at the very end of the hall. For being next to the turnpike, surprisingly noise was not an issue. As stated, however, the room was dark. In addition, there were dirty towels on hook on the backside of the bathroom door that the cleaning staff had missed, the shower had small spots of soap scum and a long hair from a previous guest. The couch sank in several spots, but the bed was comfortable. The air in the room was also horribly dry given winter and the heat running. There is a hot breakfast in the morning that was about expected for this level of lodging. There were breakfast burritos, pre-made omelets and mini-bagel breakfast sandwiches. The burritos were bad, the omelets okay and the mini-bagels pretty darn good. There was also coffee, cereal, muffins and juice. Overall, for using points and just needing one night, the stay met my needs. If I had paid out of pocket, I may have been a bit more frustrated. It was an average one night local stay.

If you're looking for a quality, affordable, clean hotel visit the Holiday Inn located at Holland Street in Oklahoma City. Smooth check in and check out. There is a Cracker Barrel within walking distance. The hotel served breakfast from 6am to 9am daily. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and milk. Each room was equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerator and Keurig. The hotel is minutes away the suburb,Edmond. Pleasant stay and plan to return to this hotel on future visits to OKC. It looked new in comparison to nearby hotels.

Staff was friendly and accommodating and breakfast was okay. Those were probably the best things about this hotel. The wi-fi is not reliable. If you need to connect for work, you need to have a back up. I used my phone hotspot most of the time because the wi-fi kept disconnecting and on a couple of the days we were there, it was down for a couple of hours. Parking is a bit crowded, and the rooms are not well insulated for noise, so you hear every vehicle coming in and out of the parking lot and any foot traffic noise passing your door. You can also hear people talking in the room next door. The hotel has roaches. My family and I did not bring our luggage in after seeing the first one. I wish I could have gotten my money back and stayed somewhere else.

I stayed in the area for work for approximately 3 weeks. During that time I was overcharged for my stay and had my vehicle broken into. According to local law enforcement, they have been summoned to the hotel 14 times in the 6 weeks for break -ins. The hotel accepts no liability and will not, as encouraged by law enforcement, install video surveillance for the exterior of the building. How many OTHER guests will be vandalized?!? If you are staying over a weekend, good luck getting near the pool. It appears the ”for registered guests only” signs do NOT apply unlike the ”we accept no liability for theft or damage to your vehicle” signs. If IHG cares about the safety of their guests, as they claim, invest in cameras for cripes sakes!! I did happen to score one of 6 poolside loungers on an early Sunday morning. However, the smell of raw sewage and little water bugs invading the pool made for a quick exit. As for the complimentary guest laundry, only two out of four washer and dryers were operable for the entire hotel. Apparently they are waiting for parts, and have been for over 3 months, according to one guest. Maybe just replace them? The weekly happy hour has done away with complimentary beer or wine. Food was...meh. Not even sure what some of it was. I travel 80% of the year for my job and pretty much live in hotels. This Staybridge doesn't appear to care about their guests' experience whatsoever. So much to be improved upon!
