Boutique hotel located just off the centre in a narrow road with limited parking. Stayed four nights as good base for travelling around Costa Smeralda. Very friendly and helpful staff. It has a great spa in basement. Nice bedroom and very comfy beds and a pleasant bathroom. Must make a special mention of the excellent breakfast and the lovely lady who serves it. Definitely recommend.

Very conforable rooms and the most important all the staff was very helpfull, every time. This hotel is wonderful! Booked 3 nights for the beginning of our trip to Sardinia this April with the intention of travelling on but decided we liked Olbia and L’Essenza so much that we stayed for a full week. The hotel is newly refurbished, spotlessly clean and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet and relaxing. All the staff are fantastic, from everyone on reception to the breakfast team and the housekeeping team, they are all dedicated professionals with exceptional customer service skills, and all so friendly and kind. We needed a relaxing holiday and definitely had it staying at L’Essenza. Our Italian is basic but the staff all have excellent English and we were given great tips on restaurants to visit. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and catered for different dietary requirements including gluten intolerance which was very helpful. The scrambled eggs and omelettes were the best ever and with the freshly squeezed blood orange juice it was heavenly.

We stayed at this hotel 2 separate nights; once at the start (standard room) and once at the end (superior room) of the holiday. It’s a very smart hotel bang in the middle of the best part of Olbia and both rooms were good (Tip: for little more cost book a superior room. It really is worth it). Bathrooms both fine (superior one excellent) and the staff were always friendly and professional. The hotel has an excellent rooftop terrace which is really worth a visit as it has the best views of the city and it has sun loungers so you can sunbathe if you like. The buffet breakfast was fine but my one issue is you had to go up and be served by a member of staff, you couldn’t just help yourself. In our travels around Sardinia we visited 3 other hotels and all were self service buffets. I presume this is covid thing, but then why wasn’t it in place elsewhere on the island? However, overall the hotel is stylish and impressive and I’d certainly stay there again.
