The Beach Club is awesome and the service is amazing! Milan was kind, helpful, and attentive!

I stayed in November. The air condition/heating didn't work properly, so the room was overheating during the night (until 29 degrees Celsius, with horribly dry air, although it was turned to 22). Couldn't even be turned off. I tried to contact the reception, but the guy was extremely rude and hang up on me! Didn't care at all and behaved very unprofessionally (my later complaints went unanswered). After repeated tries for him to get to help me, I had to give up. The window door malfunctioned, as well as the phone in the room. Breakfast was cold and below avarage. The bed was relatively comfortable, but nothing special. The bar was beautifully furnished and designed, but service was pretty bad and the glass of wine I was served was spoilt (the bottle opened a long time ago) and the bartender didn't know which whiskeys and wines they even had. The positives: the location was good and the room was nicely designed (although some of the furniture was shabby). All in all: not recommended at all because of horrible service and no attempts to help the guests, with many dysfunctional things, subpar breakfast, and only average rooms and facilities. Avoid!

A wonderful weekend spent with my daughter. Exceptional hospitality of the hotel staff, a room with a sea view, excellent room service. And in the evening a gourmet experience with chef Mateo Frlan. All in all, it really deserves five stars.

A very comfortable and well organized space, a team of very pleasant staff, everything is just as it should be in Opatija. The proximity of the port is certainly not in favor, but they still managed to organize the beach so that swimming is comfortable. We enjoyed our staying very much.

From the moment we arrived it felt 5* rather than 4*. Ana Marija (sorry if I’ve spelt this incorrectly) was lovely and really helpful. She sat us down, gave us some bubbly and then told us about the area and her top tips of where to eat. It had been a very long drive, so to be welcomed in to a beautiful lobby that smelt incredible and was cool and relaxing was perfect. The view from terrace and the room was spectacular as well and the room itself was spacious and modern. We unfortunately didn’t get sun loungers because we were only staying for one night but we would get them if we came back again because the location is so perfect. We absolutely loved our stay here and it was the first and one of our favourite stays of our Croatia/Slovenia trip.

Lovely hotel right on coast with great views - well appointed furnishings - great service - all the boxes checked for a good stay. Easy walk to City Center - maybe 15 minutes along the coast line. Good food in breakfast included. Highly recommended - good choice for this town.

Really fantastic stay. Great communication and help from Paula before the stay. Clean, well appointed rooms. Lovely breakfast and fantastic beach which is popular. View from the rooms is stunning and the walks and amenities close by are fantastic.

Hotel is well maintained , easily deserves the 4 star if not 5. Staff is friendly and attentive. Located In the the center, perfect view as it s on the seaside . We stayed in the top floor suite , aircon was a bit on the weak side, but no real worries . Breakfast was excellent . Highly recommended , we would gladly return.

We’ve been visiting Opatija for years now and we keep coming back to Royal because it is the absolute best out there. Family-like atmosphere and staff, modern lobby and room designs. I encourage you to go and discover this beautiful hotel and I ensure you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! Fabulous sea facing room. Paula at reception was THE most incredible part of the weekend! She was super attentive and made the whole experience that much more special! I have travelled extensively around Europe but have never had such exceptional customer service from hotel staff. She is nothing short of outstanding and definitely needs a promotion 😚😚 She greeted us every time she saw us and went the extra mile each time! I have nothing but good and heart-warming words to tell about the people in this hotel. Setting aside superb location, a breathtaking congress venue and the ambient of the hotel, the biggest role for me play the people there. Every member of the staff was so friendly, communicative and really helpful during the congress. They will make you feel welcome, secure and you will truly have a feeling like you know these people your entire life. Big thank you to two people especially who made sure everything was perfect and were there for anything we asked - Paula and Jan. Hotek Royal felt like a second home. I'll be back for sure, not just for business trips. Thank you all! ❤️‍🔥
