This is a relatively new resort on Statia. This was our first visit to go diving and we will certainly be headed back!! Getting there - We flew into St Kitts and took the Paradise Sun boat transfer to Statia. I included a picture so you get a sense of what you are looking for. Typical island transfer service, if Ned happens to be on with you, ask about his swim club. It takes about an hour to get to the port in Statia from St Kitts. We arrived on a Saturday, I would suggest avoiding that if you can. Very busy day at St Kitts airport with a number of international flights arriving from Europe on Saturday. We left on a Tuesday, much quieter. Accommodations - The resort is stunning. They have done a lot to landscape the resort and it shows. Anthony the resort manager was very pleasant and rightfully proud of his team and their work. We staying in one of the suites, very nice and no complaints whatsoever. Will stay in the same type of room on our next trip. Pictures on the website give you a great example of what to expect. Room cleaning team were thorough and very pleasant. Dinning - We decided to pay for the Gold dining option in advance which includes house alcohol. We will do the same next trip. There are two restaurants at the resort, both are very good. Nothing disappointed us. The service was very good, Muleek, Abdy, Devroy, Raquel, Carlington and Aike were all gracious and very accommodating. I ordered rack of lamb one night and they did not have any mint sauce. One of the Chef's was kind enough to make me some! Diving - This is why we visited. We are relatively new divers, about 50 dives each. The dive sites are all fabulous. Coral has good color, lots of reef fish, turtles and stingrays and very few lion fish compared to other places we've been. Gadget the dive boat captain was fascinating to talk to. Strong as an ox, he pulled us up onto the boat with ease. Kate and Dan the dive masters are the best we have experienced. Razor focused on safety first, first rate dive briefings and very good with us in the water. It's a concierge service, you drop your gear off the night you arrive and other than wearing it to dive, don't touch it again till you leave. They even take your fins off you before you get back in the boat after a dive! All of the dive sites were fun, my favorite was The Aquarium, my wife's the STENAPA Reef. Each morning, you take a shuttle from the resort to the port. Carlisle drives you each day. We really enjoyed him and learned something from him every day. We did not rent any gear but another couple did. All brand new Scubapro gear. Spa - We did take advantage of the spa service with several couples massages. Highly recommend you do that!
