Much better than 1st time. Hotel is under remodel.. They just finished their pool and it looks great.. They're working on the roof. The rooms still need some work. But they are coming a long way. Price is right. There is a deposit which is I believe $50. You do get it back and roughly about 7 to 10 days depending on your credit card. It is not pet friendly unless you have a service dog. Hotel is right before the Orlando health Doctor Phillips. Rooms come with a microwave and a Mini refrigerator. They do serve a breakfast that you must eat out front. You cannot take it back to your room. All their handicapped rooms or on the 1st floor.

Excellent if you are on a budget better than Rosin Inn which is brits tend to go the room worked out at £45 per night for a family of four plus you get free buffet breakfast food nice hot and cold food and hot and cold drinks fruit and yogurts scrambled eggs bacon everything is their no parking fee we didn’t pay a resort fee either staff lovlely twice my son put an egg in the microwave and it exploded they never complained room spotless free shuttles to both Disney and universal

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? Great location for a fresh new hotel that fits the bill on a budget overnight stay. Marri greeted us when we arrived and prepared grab-n-go breakfast bags for us when we arrived since we were flying out early. Modern and clean feel with free parking, friendly staff, and free breakfast.

I don't feel like this comfort inn I have lived in. The towels are very dry and similar to Motel's. In the past, the towels and beds in their stores were very soft... The bathroom door could not be closed, the shower curtain could not be pulled. The bath water was whole bathroom!

• We wanted a hotel that would suffice for a one night stay before heading to the airport after our universal Orlando vacation. They do have a shuttle to universal studios, but I did not inquire about the times because we would not be using it. This is because we stayed at the royal pacific to get the express passes, which are good for the duration of your stay as well as your check in and check out date. Since the royal pacific hotel is on the pricy side, on our last day we checked out of the royal pacific and checked into this Fairfield Marriott to save some money on our last night and since it is very close to universal studios. The front desk employee was extremely friendly and helpful. The only weird thing to me is that when they go to charge the deposit, for some reason it alerts your credit card as a fraud charge and you have to respond to the text message that it is not a fraud in order for the deposit to get charged. She says this happens “every time”. I think it’s a little weird that whatever way they use to charge deposits triggers a fraud alert on everyone’s credit card “every time”. I am a marriot bonvoy member and I have never experienced this before at any other hotels. Nevertheless, the charges went through correctly, and I was charged the right amount at the end of the stay. We reserved two rooms and we were put next to each other which was nice (although not connecting rooms, which is fine because we didn’t really need it or request it). The rooms are very spacious, tons of room everywhere. You can tell the hotel has had its fair share of wear and tear, but it didn’t feel low quality. They have breakfast in the lobby in the morning. It is mostly a continental breakfast with the exception of premade omelets. So if you don’t like omelets, your choices are limited. However if you do like omelets you are in luck because the omelets were really good. There are other things like muffins, bagels, bread/toast, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. Be sure to get the passion orange guava juice from the machine because it’s so good. Because it was so good it ran out during breakfast and it took quite a while for it to be refilled. It was an adequate breakfast before we had to head to the airport. Overall I would recommend this hotel as you get a pretty good bang for your buck here with spacious rooms, included breakfast, friendly employees, and proximity to universal studios.

I was a little nervous to stay here after recent reviews, I'm not sure if I was lucky with the room I got or if others look for more to complain about...but I could fault it. I have previously stayed at the Avanti Hotel but recent reviews there put me off staying. Yes the rooms are dated, most of these motel type hotels are, but the room was spotless which to me is the most important thing. We had taken some wipes to clean down surfaces etc just to be cautious but every wipe came up clean, top marks! Everything in the room worked as expected, fridge was good as was the microwave. Excellent location, we didn't use the pool but it looked good. Only slight issue was the Hurricane, the fire alarm went off twice as a false alarm...but these things happen. & there was some water leakage into the room from the door, which by our last day had caused a not very pleasant smell. But I'm not blaming the hotel for this & I assume they would have had a way to resolve this had we been staying longer & mentioned it! Our room was in block 3000, top floor facing the pool, no issues with noise - I doubt any room facing the pool would have an issue. Good view from the top floor too over to Volcano Bay. Happy to recommend the hotel for couples, families etc. I'd certainly be happy to stay here again for a future Orlando holiday!

We were greeted by Franciely she was great and she took care of us and made sure we were well attended. We got a couple of frozen drinks and mixed drinks and they tasted so good! I highly recommend swinging by this bar and enjoying the fun in the sun and the great people!
