Scandic Holmenkollen Park
4.1/569 Reviews
The location is on the top of the mountain, the transportation is inconvenient, the bus stop to the city center is about 13 minutes away, the train station needs taxi, Oslo nobles, in addition, a large part of the hotel is newly renovated, facilities and daily necessities are not yet available, the room does not even have a phone. The room is not small, the bedside table and table are small, not commensurate with the room area, the bathroom is large, but unfortunately the glass door of the shower room is not well designed, the water will still be immersed. The advantage is that the landscape is good, the breakfast is good, and the breakfast area is cute. The overall service is ordinary, not professional and procrastinating.
Thon Partner Hotel Ullevaal Stadion
4.2/540 Reviews
Visited Oslo for a business meeting and was recommended the Thon Hotel chain Pros + Short walk from Ulleval stadion metro + Nearby amenities, food, etc available + Staff is extra helpful and ensures a comfortable stay. I can speak highly of the reception & restaurant staff Cons - Hotel entrance is less visible - No gym - No lockers or drawers - Some may be bothered by metro noise
Saga Hotel Oslo, BW Premier Collection

The hotel is a solid four. Good: 1. Great location with free parking. Not in the very center, but everything can be easily reached on foot. Oslo is an ideal city for walking at least in the summer. 2. Very decent breakfast. Three rooms, lots of seating. Minuses: 1. We lived in room 210. Kavrolin dirty, evoked a feeling of disgust. The shower is leaking no matter how tightly you close it. After every shower, the entire bathroom is wet. 3. No ”welcome” bottle of water. When you travel a lot, you get used to it, but in Norway this is not accepted, I guess. Then we were in three more hotels and there was no complimentary water anywhere.
Olympiatoppen Sportshotel - Scandic Partner

We have been to Olympiatoppen on three occasions now. Each time we visit it makes us feel invigorated. The hotel allows you to share the ambience created by the presence of top class athletes from a variety of different sports from running to skiing. The countryside around the hotel is wonderful: the loch, the forest walks, the hills - it is all great and the air is fresh. I have reviewed the hotel before but this time I would like to concentrate on the staff. From management to kitchen, everyone makes you feel welcome Each day is enhanced by the pleasant and efficient staff from the smiling cleaner to the receptionists, all make this experience even more positive and fulfilling. I have to thank the staff and Scandic for the way they helped us rearrange our holiday three times due to Corona virus disruptions. Communication with the General manager Bente Nash over the course of the corona virus pandemic was easy and very understanding. I have to say everything about this hotel is superb. We are returning next year for our next fix!
Frogner House Apartments- Helgesens Gate 1

It was like Fort Knox to get into as we arrived earlier than the 3p check in. We buzzed outside the building and someone answered eventually to let us into the walkway and small courtyard only to find the door locked to get into the apartments. The guy on the intercom said to press the buzzer, but we pressed everything and still couldn't get in. We saw the cleaners on the ground floor and pounded on the glass until they let us in. The place is a bit low profile on the outside with only a small plaque on the wall with the name on it. It's an automatic check-in with a machine in the foyer. Once we had that sorted out we eventually took the lift (the only time it worked) to our apartment to find a tiny bedroom with a bed pushed against the walls and not room for much else, meaning if you had to get up during the night, the person against the wall (window) had to climb over the other one (like a speed bump) to get out. There is a really small wardrobe, but for travellers no room to put suitcases. The living area is very roomy, so we had our suitcases in there and the kitchenette was good to have. The bathroom unfortunately is super tiny with a vanity, toilet, shower and washing machine squashed in there. The shower was hard to navigate to get in and out as the vanity and washing machine were in the way and you had to juggle both doors to squeeze past. The shower did get blocked at one stage and had to stop mid shampoo to unblock the drain before it flooded the bathroom. On the plus side, the living area was good except we had our suitcases in there (and that became very messy). The kitchen was great and had all the pots and pans and cutlery/crockery needed and it was good to be able to do laundry. The apartment is situated in Grunerlokka where only a short walk away you can access nice restaurants, a park, small convenience stores and lovely shopping. Nearby is Ankerselva River which was really lovely for walks along at the end of the day.
Oslo Hostel Rønningen

Lovely friendly staff. It’s a boarding school that’s used as a hotel/hostel in off school periods. This place is well priced, clean, quiet and has a beautiful view from room 7 upward. We didn’t expect breakie, but it was available! Breakfast was basic due to corona restrictions. Pool and game tables. A little coffee shop. Free parking was a bonus. If you’re visiting Oslo City, be aware it is a little bit out of the city center. Easy if you have a car. Perfect place for a bypass stop on the way up north.
