The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms feature double vanities, indicating solid foundational hardware. The in-room amenities are Byredo, with a pleasant, high-end fragrance, which is a definite plus. There are many Japanese staff members, and their service attitude is friendly, with prompt room service. Coinciding with my parents' 40th wedding anniversary, the hotel thoughtfully presented us with a bottle of champagne, which we deeply appreciated. The balcony view is a huge bonus, facing the beach directly. On Fridays, we could watch the weekly fireworks show from the neighboring Hilton without having to jostle through crowds, making for a very special experience. The room comes with a full kitchen. If you don't want to eat the hotel's buffet breakfast, you can buy ingredients from the ABC Store and prepare simple meals yourself, offering great flexibility, which is perfect for family travel. ⚠️ **Downsides** The check-in process was quite frustrating. During peak hours, the hotel strictly enforces a 4 PM check-in time. After our family arrived, there was no suitable indoor waiting area, so we had to wander around outside in the hot sun to kill time. This was very inconvenient for a family trip. Objectively speaking, while the staff's attitude was good and we received a surprise treat for the anniversary, when compared to similarly priced luxury hotels in Japan and luxury brands of the same caliber domestically, there's still a gap in the overall service completeness and detailed processes. 📝 **Summary** It was an adequate stay for one night. The unbeatable ocean view balcony, the ability to watch fireworks, the Byredo amenities, and the thoughtful anniversary champagne were all highlights. The room type with a kitchen is practical for families. However, the rigid check-in process during busy periods is a clear drawback. If visiting during peak season, be prepared for a late room handover.

This was my first trip to Hawaii, and I'm so glad I chose this hotel! It's super convenient – the trolley stop is right in front of the hotel, and the beach is just across the street. It was perfect for getting anywhere we wanted to go. I thought I had booked a room with a view of both the beach and Diamond Head, but it turned out to be an oceanfront room on the 10th floor. The view was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. I did notice the walls seemed a bit thin. At night, we could clearly hear loud music from the room next door and a baby crying, haha. I guess it probably varies from room to room. The complimentary water server and free beach towel service were really handy! Plus, there were plenty of souvenir shops, a gelato place, and cafes, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Hands down, this hotel is all about location, convenience, and comfort. If you want to be right in the middle of all the Waikīkī buzz, this is it. You’re just minutes from Waikīkī Beach and within easy walking distance to International Market Place, Royal Hawaiian Center, countless restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores. Everything is so accessible that you can explore easily on foot. The rooms feel fresh and newly renovated, with a modern island-chic style. Clean, bright, and comfortable — not ultra-luxury, but definitely more than sufficient for a relaxing stay. Perfect if you want the essentials done well without paying for full resort-style extras. You’re surrounded by food options — poke, shave ice, smoothie spots, breakfast cafés, and nicer dinner restaurants. Convenience stores are just steps away, making it easy to grab essentials without needing transport. If you value prime location, walkability, renovated rooms, an outdoor pool, a gym, and solid value over ultra-luxe amenities, this hotel is a great choice.

We had a glitch with checking in on arrival but after they sorted this and compensated us for the mess up i couldn't fault this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The position is perfect as are the phenomenal views. We had an ocean view so sat on our balcony every night to watch beautiful Waikiki sunsets We were provided access to the longboard room which provided a great breakfast and in the evenings drinks cheese and dips snacks and pasta the service here was fantastic Amenities are fantastic. Great gym and included yoga and plates sessions. Activities also available but we ran out of time for this I highly recommend this amazing resort

I really don't recommend choosing the Rainbow Sea View Room. It's not a sea view at all; what you see is a tiny lagoon, or to put it bluntly, a small puddle. If you truly want to see the ocean, you absolutely must choose a Rainbow Oceanfront Room or a high-floor Oceanfront Room, otherwise, you'll likely be very disappointed. Check-in was incredibly crowded. I waited for about 30 minutes to an hour, and the lobby was constantly packed. The elevators were the same; many times, you had to wait in line. If you prefer a quieter hotel, I don't think this one is suitable. The room assignment also left me very dissatisfied. The Asian front desk staff assigned me a low-floor corner room with virtually no view. No ocean, no fireworks – just the building across the way and that little puddle outside the window. It was completely different from what I imagined when booking. Also, early check-in at this hotel almost always costs extra. It's not one of those hotels that will accommodate an early check-in if a room is available. I've stayed at other hotels where they usually try to arrange it if there's a vacant room, but here, if you want to get in early, you have to pay extra. If you prioritize views, quietness, and the overall check-in experience, I personally don't recommend this hotel.

I stayed here on both my arrival and departure days, which was super convenient. You can rent a car directly at the front desk, but you need to book in advance. They're often fully booked for same-day rentals!

I highly recommend this hotel. Considering the price, I was extremely satisfied with everything except the age of the building. I stayed here for several consecutive nights on a business trip, and the front desk staff were always friendly and welcoming. Although the rooms are a bit dated, they were very clean, and the housekeeping service—including bed-making and towel replacement—was impeccable. My stay was comfortable every single day. For this price, the location and level of hospitality were outstanding. I was genuinely impressed. There was complimentary coffee available at the front desk, and although the smoking area was nearby, there was absolutely no smell in the hotel. As a smoker, I really appreciated that. The room came with four soft pillows, and the shower worked perfectly fine. There were also plenty of souvenirs available, which made me wonder how they can offer all of this at such a reasonable price. Now for a little rant. I accidentally packed a jar of jam that the hotel staff had kindly given me in my carry-on luggage at the airport. A particularly unpleasant security officer confiscated it, saying that gel-like substances were not allowed. All I can do is hope that person didn’t end up helping themselves to it. The hotel was flawless. My only grievance is with the guy at the airport security checkpoint. I would absolutely love to stay here again on my next business trip.

The room has a distinctly Japanese style, and the soundproofing is excellent, making it extremely cost-effective for a hotel in this area. Just a short walk down a small street leads to the beach and a bustling commercial street. The sunsets at the beach are beautiful, and the main street remains lively late into the night, making the street behind it much quieter. Highly recommended.

It was perfect for solo travel and offered great value for money! It had all the essentials, and I didn't experience any inconvenience. The room was clean and comfortable!

The front desk staff was very kind and I was grateful. It was about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. It was around 11pm, so it was about $66 including the late-night fare. During the day, it was about $50.
