Hotel Himalayan Inn

Altogether, the location is good. Just near Fewa Lake. But we have faced a terrible experience after checking in the first day. The room was very ordinary in nature. Late at night, when we tried to switch on TV to Watch World Cup Match, the TV was not working. Called the room service, and the Room Service Boy in our utter surprise, told us that TV will not work in this room as the room is under the "ordinary" category. Then i checked in the details of booking in the Trip.com App and found that I paid for the Deluxe 3 beaded room with all amenities. But at that time, it was too late to knock the management.I raised the issue with the Trip.com Executive. After hearing all my issues, the executive assured me to fix up the issue by the next morning. The next Morning when we talked with the Hotel Reception desk regarding our issue, the Guy sitting there simply tried to ignore our concern by putting some obnoxious excuses. His lame excuse was, " The amount we received from Trip.com was actually for our ordinary room category. So we gave you that room". It was just unthinkable for me. I argued, the amount is not an issue for me. I booked the room after checking out all the amenities and Trip.com offered me the price. And you have to provide me with the room which I booked . I don't want to hear about other issues. It is up to you and Trip.com to settle it down. After so much argument, ultimately Hotel management agreed to shift us to a Deluxe Room. And in the Afternoon, we were able to shift in the room. I am a frequent traveler, and book Hotel Rooms on Apps like Trip.com. But I have never faced such an issue in the past. It is indeed an unpleasant experience of mine in Nepal..I would suggest Trip.com to fix such issues with the properties so that travelers like us will not face such problems in future. Other than this, the Hotels Restaurant service is also pathetic.The food quality is pathetic to say the least. But they charge a high price on menus. I would suggest travelers, to enquire twice before booking on such hotels in Nepal.

We booked three rooms for three nights and didn't stay one night. The rooms were dirty; the bed linen was also filthy. There were cockroaches on the beds and walls. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It might have been nice once, but certainly not now.

The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the location is great - close to everything but still quiet. It was nice coming back to this hotel after trekking for a few days. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Himalayan Inn is one of the best hotels in Pokhara, located near the lake and just walking distance. The rooms are spacious and have fresh air with windows on 3 sides of the walls. You can not smell moisture in their rooms at all because of the fresh oxygen. The staff is very active and they keep on cleaning the stairs and aisles as well as they are very friendly and always welcome you with an open smile. One day I was buying fruits and I was afraid of the fruit seller for overpricing, accidentally I met one of the staff and he helped me to buy fruits for the actual price of them. The chef in the kitchen is one of the best and at any time of the day, food is a phone call away in case you are staying inside. My only complaint is that on the rooftop there were not any ropes to keep the wet towels and towels were blown away the other day but Hotel Himalayan Inn changed them for me. Yeah just connect rope and some clips for the towels to make life easier :) Overall the experience was excellent and I am grateful to Hotel Himalayan Inn for providing such a good and memorable vacation for us. Special thanks to Sandeep for keeping us company during the nights in the lobby and making us laugh with his jokes!

I went by user reviews and the photos that they posted on MMT and budget was one factor as well. The room was just okay. Bed was nice and AC working. That's all. Toilet seat broken, flush issues, shower issues. We were not able to charge our phones. Major Wifi issue. The worst part was they had given 1 tattered towel for 2 person. Breakfast was so lousy. They had given stale bread. We told the manager that we will complain to MMT then they came into action. Overall not a nice experience. Will increase the budget and will get a good hotel next time. MMT should exclude this hotel from their listing. Might be they cater to American or European tourists. They are least bothered about Indian tourists.

Excellent facilities with a beautiful lake view and balcony. Very nice breakfast and the staff were very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time in Pokhara. Would highly recommend to anyone to stay here!

Nice place to stay at lakeside Pokhara.Cozy and clean.Very near to the Fewa lake and marketplace.I would like to over here in my Next visit .Worth value of money I spent.Foods are very delicious and testy .Best thing is workers in this hotel.recommended

I do NOT recommend! I booked this hotel on the Booking website, my booking was confirmed, but 1 day before arrival, the staff wrote me a message to cancel my booking myself and wrote the reason for this that they had repairs. I was surprised because it's weird. I checked on the same site for the same dates the same room and it was available for booking! It was a lie about the renovation! The hotel staff lied to me and when I answered them and asked about it, they wrote in the next message a different reason: "we could not book a room for you." But that's also a lie! They themselves confirmed my booking 3 days earlier. These are their clever tricks. I do NOT recommend!
