This hotel has it all. And a safe haven to go back to after a long exhausting day of activities. From the bus right outside the doorstep. It is a perfect base when you are planning to visit, Amalfi town, Positano, Ischia, Atrani you name it all. That famous Marina di Praia is literally just 5mns walk from this hotel. And also Fiordo di Furore bridge is 18mns walk from here. What I love the most is the convenient of both transportation and plenty of choices for food. You just walk down to Marina di Praia and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and it's one of the best cliffside view.. We rented a car from Napoles as I have travel sickness getting bus. During our trip to Positano my husband decided not to bring the car as parking there is extremely difficult to find & also very pricey. But not to worry. Head down to Marina di Praia there's a WATER TAXI that will bring you everywhere. It's actually cheaper taking water taxi than an actual land taxi. ie: From Praia to Positano we got priced €100 return for 2people. But water taxi is €75 for 2 people return. That's a private one and you can decide what time you can return they'll collect you. If you have no problem taking bus it is only around €2-€3 to almost everywhere in Amalfi coast. Now let's talk about the hotel. It's a beautiful hotel set on a beautiful cliffside. Get a balcony room for the best experience & view. You'll see the boats passing by. There is a jacuzzi and swimming pool. The place is a little old, but this was not a problem to us as it was kept cleaned all the time. And you have all the amenities you'll ever need. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Eliana in the reception desk is amazing. I called prior our stay to arrange a parking reservation as you have to do that due to limited space. She recommended so many things prior to our trip. She even mentioned there's no need to rent car as bus is right infront of their doorstep and that's true.. Eliana goes above and beyond to make our stay comfortable & perfect. From fixing even the small details. Francesco, a very helpful gentleman who carried our luggage and making sure we are well looked after during breakfast. My Husband and I, are going to miss all the stairs that became our daily exercise from our room to breakfast hehe.. We would also like to thank you Emilio, who gives us a little tour when we arrived whilst waiting to check in. He showed us around the hotel, starting conversation to make us comfortable. He is very nice and very helpful & accommodating.. You see, it's the small simple things that matter in life, that makes the place accommodating. This place offers you clean & comfortable stay, convenient to transportation and restaurants. Again, has jacuzzi and swimming pool. Breakfast offers a wide selection and one of the hotel that has delicious delicacies. Very scenic cliffside view. Staff are very friendly and will go beyond to cater your needs. One thing to add, Grotto di Suppraia

Fantastic spot to enjoy Amalfi coast. Lovely hotel draped down the cliffs towards the water. Steps all the way down to a small sunning area on the rocks, great for swimming but beware if medusa (small grey-brown jellyfish with a nasty sting) are around. The views from our room and the breakfast area are absolutely stunning all day. The bus stopped right in front of the hotel so easy to get to Amalfi or Positano--but after you experience crowds there, you will want to head back to Hotel Torre Saracena. The very best part of the experience were the always cheerful and helpful staff--thanks to each of them.

Quiet property only 15 mins away from Positano. Not luxurious but good enough for a short stay. The staff was amazing. Everything very private.

Not as advertised. Extremely difficult to navigate. Purposely distracted us from steep interior stairs and made us use outside stairs that were twice as long. Terrible for our seniors. This was not mentioned in description. Hotel run down. Staff greedy.

The hotel is between positano and amalfi. So bus or taxi is required. There is a beach below thats convenient and has lounge chairs and restaurants as well. It’s the drop off point for water taxis too, much to keep us tourists entertained (haha). The room was clean and was had a terrace. The hotel has an outdoor terrace for breakfast also. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They drove us to their restaurant nearby, although IL Pino, very close by was the best! Don’t miss it, and go early and sit in their backyard overlooking the sea. The drinks were great as well. Actually loved being away from all the hustle of the major attractions. Unless you are looking for very busy then choose either village, plenty of activities there. Enjoy the wine, journey, and making new friends!

Great service, friendly and very attentive.A clean environment with beautiful view. A massive breakfast buffet with delicious food and special local dishes. It’s a friendly family run business, everyone runs the extra mile to make sure their guests are happy. Luigi

Lovely clean comfortable hotel, magnificent location, and good value compared to the larger towns along Amalfi. Staff were lovely, helpful and pleasant. Building probably needs a little attention, jacuzzi was a bit tired, but perfectly useable, (and cleaned regularly). Bus stop out the front gives respite from all the stairs and hills that are unavoidable in this wonderful area. We made a great choice when choosing Hotel Torre Saracena.

Stayed here for 5 nights as our base whilst on the Amalfi Coast. We arrived around 9am on the bus and the hotel staff kindly let us drop our bags off and have breakfast before check in. The bus stop right outside the hotel is very convenient. Found the hotel quite old fashioned but clean and tidy. We booked a family room with a sea view. The room was spacious with a double and single bed. Lovely balcony with an amazing sea view. The breakfast buffet was lovely with a large selection of food and the view from the breakfast area was my favourite thing about this hotel, beautiful 🤩 Staff were polite and helpful. They also booked our transfer from the hotel back to Naples (€150) There is a shop next door to buy drinks and snacks and restaurants within walking distance. Marina di Praia beach is only a 10 minute walk away. There is also a bathing area and access to the sea in the hotel grounds. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Loved staying here. Hotel/Rooms are 3-stars, but the location, breakfast, staff, private sea access makes this a 5-star for the price in my opinion. With so many things to do on the Amalfi Coast, we didn’t spend much time in our room or the hotel. But, when we did utilize the hotel, everything was lovely. Private sea access was breath taking. 220 steps down (which sounds like a lot, but on the Amalfi Coast 220 steps is NOTHING!). Jumping into the sea and then swimming 2 minutes to a beautiful huge grotto is an experience I will NEVER forget. Location - halfway in between Positano and Amalfi. We rented a scooter and we were 20 minutes from each. Much better than waiting for the bus or trying to get a cab. Plus renting a scooter was fun and convenient. The location is VERY quiet and does not feel touristy at all. Positano and Amalfi are VERY busy and filled with tourists of all ages (drunk young kids having fun to old couples struggling up and down all of the steps needed to get from point A to point B!). Praiano gives you a nice relax from all of that. But I highly recommend going to Positano and Amalfi at night to enjoy delicious restaurants, the views, shopping and the people watching. None of that going on in Praiano. Staff - EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful. Lorenzo helped us via e-mail for our private transfer from Naples Airport to the Hotel (€150). Lorenzo also was so accommodating and informative once we arrived. Regina (the boss!) is beautiful inside and out. She answered all of our questions, booked airport transfers back for us, smiled everyday and made us feel so welcome. Francesco made sure I was caffeinated everyday (excellent barista!) and had a beer in hand when needed. Cleaning ladies did an excellent job keeping our room neat and towels refreshed. GRAZIE MILLE to the entire staff! Breakfast was so delicious and had everything from pancakes, eggs and bacon to croissants, Italian pastries and fruit to meats and cheeses. Was a great way to start the day touring on a full stomach! Room had an amazing private balcony/patio with breathtaking views. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

I could write a novel about my experience here, but in order to keep things short, here's two lists. THE POSITIVES: *The staff. They're all lovely! *The view. It's great. *The breakfasts. One of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. So many wonderful pasties. *The nearby beach. Pebbly and crowded, but worth a visit. THE NEGATIVES: *The location. The 25 minute walk to town is not an easy one. *The decor. The rooms are pretty small and drab, but the attached outdoor areas are great. *The beds and pillows. Hopefully you like very firm ones. *Potentially, other guests. I guess if you book a relatively cheap 3 Star hotel, there's the chance that people you wouldn't choose to associate with will do the same. That's what happened to us. On our first night some people (an Irish father and son and the son's Australian girlfriend) were in the Jacuzzi at midnight, swearing loudly. When I asked them to please stop swearing, the son went to punch me and he and his girlfriend used really foul language. The father then stood near our room talking about his son's plans to "murd*r" me until 1.30am the next morning, until another guest finally persuaded him to shut up. We tried to find alternate accommodation after this with no success. The hotel staff did what they could, and started putting a cover on the Jacuzzi at 8pm each night to stop these people from repeating their appalling behaviour. Hopefully you'll never encounter these three charmers in your travels, but sadly they did spoil our stay at this hotel.

This hotel is in a small quaint town but did have bus service right in front to go to other towns. Not able to get taxi unless you book private one in advance. We had a long, downhill walk to the cute beach and restaurants. (A few on the water nearby were amazing! ) The staff were friendly but not very knowledgeable as far as getting around. The room and bathroom were very dated with a tiny shower. Two mornings in a row we lost power and the staff didn’t know. One afternoon we lost hot water so my husband took a freezing shower. The beds were very hard with springs which was disappointing. The breakfast was very good. And the views were amazing from any area or room of the hotel. We still had a great time in Praiano!
