Naama Bay
First off, apologies for the long review, but I feel like the longest reviews are the best as this could potentially sway your decision to where you spend the next week or two of your life. I’ll break it down into different categories. Location: Good location only a 10 minute walk to naama bay, and directly opposite the sister hotel which has the beach which you can go into. Also has the Cleo Waterpark a 5 minute walk through the hotel which is free for guests. I don’t think the park was fully open as it was technically ‘winter’ so I’m sure if you look to book in ‘summer’ it will be fully opened. Food: Food isn’t the best, but not the worst either. I heard other guests saying how this was the worst food ever. It’s not, but I can see how some people may struggle to find something they like every meal time, but for this you have to think of it like ‘you pay for what you get’. Entertainment: Probably the only reason this doesn’t get a 5 star. Not sure why they even have an entertainment team to be honest. In the day, around 10/11am they put on some music and do a dance and I think they do the same some time in the afternoon. I think they do some yoga on some of the days but that’s it. In the evening, they had a fire breather guy one night and some live music another night. But usually they just get some people on stage for a ‘competition’ and then do the same dances they did in the day. Also, on Sunday they will ask you if you want to pay roughly 1,000egp to go to pacha nightclub, where you get driven and driven back, free entry and a free drink. Do not do this. They don’t drive you, they walk you in a group and then you have to make your own way back. The drink is rubbish and watered down as you’d expect. It being only a 10 minute walk away, use the 1,000 (£17) to pay the entry and get yourself a decent drink. Staff: The food staff and bar staff are amazing. Special shout out to, Khaled in the food hall, Mohab behind the bar and Hassan one of the food managers. You 3 are definitely the nicest people there! Yeah that’s it, don’t want to take up too much of your time. If you’ve read other reviews talking about all the ‘rude Russians’ then this is probably half true, don’t want to say all of them are rude but I don’t think they queue like us brits and like to push in. I’d say roughly 80% of the people there were Russian.

Just a horrible place. The rooms were moldy, the food was awful, the drinks were tasteless and the staff wasnt really too helpful. We arrived late so we got an evening snack, it was so dry and tasteless there was no point of even trying to eat it. The next day I had to go to the hospital, asked if I could get something to eat before (as I hadnt eaten for a day, and who knew when the next meal would be. The staff said it was not possible to get any food (day time) because it wasnt meal time, when they defined it. Like ***. I get in general that being the policy, but if someone is sick they cant help at all. My partner even had to make a fuzz to get a drink from the suposedly open bar. Other than the outside area being nice, there's no way I would ever recommend this old, dirty, outdated, moldy hotel with just bad resort food and service to anyone. Maybe this quality was okay in the 80's, but if this is what all resorts are like in sharm, no wonder tourists havent returned there.

1. Rent a life jacket for 100 Egyptian pounds a day, and you can rent a private cabin for 10 or 15 dollars a day. 2. The hotel can snorkel directly, the quality of the sea water is not to say, and there are a lot of fish. 3. The overall decoration of the hotel is not advanced enough, and the Arabic style is not modern enough. The music and evening performances are also in Arabic style. 4. There is a dress code for eating, which is extremely inconvenient. You cannot eat lunch or dinner in a swimsuit and vest. There is only one restaurant. 5. The all-inclusive beach drinks are only in plastic cups, not a can if there is no glass.

Arrived very late, hot and cold food available before going to our room. On waking the next day we saw that we had been given a garden view room although we had paid for a side sea view room,we decided to stay put as we were quite happy with the location. What a beautiful place. All staff couldn’t do enough for you wether tipped or not. They work so hard and will do anything to help. Really happy with the food choices. The a la carte restaurants were great, in fact we went to the Indian restaurant 4 times. Mohammed and staff were very attentive, and the best Nan breads we’ve tasted. Lots of beach areas,we used the adults only beach. Snorkelling from the jetty was fantastic and we did this every day Pools lovely and clean. We used the adults only pool, the sun beds are the comfiest I’ve been on. We really enjoyed this holiday that we had with our friends. We would definitely return in fact I’ve already been looking for next year. Get yourself booked up,you won’t be disappointed.

Naama Bay
My wife and I have been going to this hotel ,on and off, for the last 20 years. It was built some 40 years ago and was owned and run by the Hilton group. 5 years ago it was sold and is now run by the Jazz Group . Note I say run by the Jazz Group not owned by them. Jazz is a management company on behalf of different owners. The hotel is in a superb position with a large beachfront and a short distance from the main center. The staff are the friendliest most helpful bunch of people you could want to meet. A special mention to Eid, Mohamad and the breakfast chef(who's name I never found out) from the restaurant and Diana from customer services. Now we come to the sad bit. I feel that since taking over the hotel the new owners have invested no money in it at all. The main door look did not work, the toilet seat was falling off. Both of those problems were sorted quickly. The bathroom door did not close properly due to 40 years of paint on paint. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, and the french door never ever closing properly It needs major investment in it ,not money sucked out of it. As a side issue the majority clients of the hotel and Sharm itself are Russian. Sharm is suffering from troubles of the past plus the effects of covid. Both the Hotel and the place itself need to do a lot,lot better or I fear for the place and the wonderful people who work there.
