"Stopped for the night and spent a long time, as did others, trying to find somewhere 'safe' to eat/drink. It's a bit of a no-mans-land, industrial estate type place where you have no idea where to go to do what/get food, and noone to advise as it's the most basic of basics. On the plus side, the toilet had a flush lever this time - well done IBIS!"

"Hotel La Berteliere is a very pretty hotel with flowers at the room window box`. The hotel is very private being set in a small village/ suberb of Rouen, among some very nice private houses with a country feel. Car parking is excellent although can be busy when the restaurant is busy. The staff are mostly friendly, particularly helpful are the English speaking receptionists. We had a superior room at the front of the hotel. The room wasnt large but room enough for two with enough storage for a few days stay. Dinner on the first night was excellent, dinner on the second I would describe as average, ate out on the third night. The menu was limited with just four main options, they could do to add a steak or and a pasta option. Breakfast was adequate to set you on your way, dont expect an English style buffet, well you are in France. Overall our stay was pleasant and would return if in the area."

"We had a memorable stay at this beautiful chateau. Stunning and idyllic setting. We had a lovely walk around the grounds and there are even beautiful woods too in the grounds. A wonderful family own and run the chateau which has been in the family for several generations. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning with home made cake and preserves and local apple juice. Along with fresh fruit , cheese and pastries. The family are a delight and we will definitely love to return."

"New Hotel. The Spa area is so small that you actually need to book it well in advance if you are planning to use it.. As most likely the slot which you would like is already taken. It's charged per hour... Overnight parking is €19. Very irritating is the shower in the bathroom as the water goes between too hot and too cold on its own pattern and you can't control it.. Typical for the buildings with the plumbing issues, or the water pressure.."

"One of my worst nights at a hotel. It’s not completely the hotel’s fault that there was a heat wave these days, but with +34C outside and no A/C the walls were basically like heaters and opening the window (even the door) did absolutely nothing. I was sweating in the night and had a really bad sleep. To make things worse, there were people outside the window screaming till around 1am and loud machines cleaning the streets from around 7am. The bed mattress was also rather thin. I somewhat liked the location as it is close to the centre, but it’s not an area where you feel comfortable walking at night."

"This one of the better budget hotels. It is spotless, is in a good location for transit guests, it has a 24 hour reception and provides a more than adequate breakfast. The only negative is the pathetic WiFi which was impossible to use. This hotel provides outstanding value and we would not consider any other hotel in this area."

"For a 2 star budget hotel it exceeded my expectations. We stopped on our way to sables dolonne to break up the drive. We stayed a night 21st to the 22nd in room 217. Big bed tv.air conditioning and a good breakfast. Friendly staff hotel very clean and quiet. Good nights sleep. Lovely pattiserie across the road. Nice pub half a mile down the road. And 2 supermarkets. Just as good on the way back 29th to the 30th may room 207. Excellant and easy to charge my car with on site facilities"
