Remisens Hotel Albatros-All Inclusive

Just returned from a week at Remisens Hotel Albatross. Will try to make this review as useful as possible! Location - for me it was perfect. Unless your airline includes free transfer then it's probably worthwhile getting an Uber. It costs €15 each way and takes less than 10 minutes from Dubrovnik airport. The walk into Cavtat from the hotel is mostly flat and takes around 15/20 minutes. Water taxi to Dubrovnik city runs throughout the day and into the evening- €20 euros each return. There is also a bus (number 10) and Uber also an option. The Hotel - It's ok! Food is decent although I would say it would be very limited if you are vegetarian. Even the pasta salads were mostly filled with ham/turkey/tuna etc. I think it would be difficult to get a decent veggie main meal with plenty of protein etc. The all inclusive drinks aren't great! The red wine is awful and only drinkable as it's chilled. The soft drinks aren't good, the coke was like syrup and not enjoyable, no fresh juice available - very sugary alternatives. The coffee was really not very nice. Slightly weird set up with the beach towels, you pay a €10 deposit at reception and then get a ticket to take the towel man who only opens for an hour twice a day. You then have to go back to get your token before getting your deposit back and signing out your towel at the end - FAFF!! Plenty of space round the pool. Pool was absolutely freezing, very few people went in as just too cold and not enjoyable which was a shame. Entertainment and the evenings are probably the worst thing about this hotel. Because of the time of year it wasn't warm enough to sit outside in the evening so this may be different in the warmer months (take a warm cardigan/jacket for when the sun goes down if travelling in May). The entertainment space was like a brightly lit airport lounge with zero atmosphere, we went out most evenings! We thought even if they lowered the lights it would be better. The animation team are friendly and do a good job with getting people involved, we did music bingo and shooting. Hairdryers are in the rooms. All in one body wash/shampoo. No creams or lotions are provided. Also you cannot get an iron in this hotel. You have to pay the laundry service to do this if needed. Seemed crazy to me, I just went with creased clothes :-) View from the hotel is beautiful. Hotel is very clean and staff friendly and extremely hard working. All in all had a lovely week but wouldn't return to this hotel specifically. Cavtat however is fantastic and I will be coming back!

Stayed one night at the Hotel at the end of a touring holiday in Monte*****. This is really a family Hotel and maybe not ideal for adult only holidays. Having said that the Hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was more than adequate in every respect.

Great location,only 5 min to drive from airport.Very helpful receptionists and staff,lovely impression of hotel.Everywhere inside and outside hotel is very tidy and clean,nice and tasty food,good service.It's a very nice walking area arround hotel by the sea side with a beautiful view arround.Good value for food and drinks.I would recomend for all tourists to come to see this place,have a good rest and enjoy your holiday!We would love to come back again xx

A large, recently re-vamped, hotel very close to the sea front. Staff were all very polite and most spoke English. We arrived before high season and the unexpected hot days required the air conditioning. However for the first couple of days of our four night stay the air conditioning was off for both wings of the hotel. The staff were apologetic about this but explained there was nothing they could do to rectify without managements consent. The rooms were tidy and clean and there was not so much a room with a sea view but a room with a tree view. The aircraft from nearby Dubrovnik airport were few and far between and if the windows were closed and the air conditioning working then the air traffic was barely noticeable. We stayed in the 'B' wing of the horseshoe shaped hotel and found that to get our luggage to the lift required hauling luggage up a small number of steps to reach the lifts. The restaurant was located in the level below the reception area and was very nice with access to a patio area. The buffet breakfast and dinner food was very generic, but plentiful. The exception was a sea food night when various offerings were available. Two pools outside and the shoreline was a minute or two from the reception. There was a shoreline path around the headland to Cavtat village itself and boat services nearby to take you to the Islands or Dubrovnik (@20 Euro return for a journey of around 45 - 60 minutes each way).Not a bad stay for a night or two with plenty of space outside by the pools.

Me, my wife & son spent a very relaxing 7 days at the hotel Albatross.Big hotel & my 10 year old son said it was the best holiday because the entertainment team was so good - Roman, Lorena, Alexandra & Lisa made the holiday, exceptional would be an understatement. All inclusive food & drink was decent however wasn’t as varied as we’ve experienced on other holidays but that didn’t detract from the experience given it was so peaceful. Amazing sea & mountain views meant we could have stayed for much longer. Will be looking to stay again in future. As it was start of season evening entertainment was 3 nights out of 6 during our stay but I imagine in summer time it’s much better. Also Zoran in pool bar was a very polite & attentive man who kept the drinks during the day. Thank you!

Large hotel in the modernist style that you tend to find in eastern Europe. That said, there was nothing wrong whatsoever with the place. Friendly staff, plenty of space and loungers, food good, decent value and in a lovely setting. Loved every minute.

Friendly staff - at times a little too friendly, I didn't really want to shake hands with the receptionist on check-in, I just want people to be polite and professional. Adequate food, although some fresh juice at breakfast would have been nice. With a little attention to detail, this place could really be excellent - fix the broken tiles, dust the cobwebs in the corners and make sure that the piped music is turned OFF at night. Cut down on the entertainments too, they don't add any class. That said, the room was comfortable and the view from the terrace was fantastic.
