The accommodations and breakfast were amazing. The owners purpose is very honorable. It was a pleasure getting to know the owners and staff. They are passionate about making your stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. I would strongly recommend this place.

This place is immaculate. Almost everything in this castle is original - artwork, furniture, pianos, pool table, etc. the bed was so comfortable and the fireplace was perfect. Cesar, the host and owner, is extremely kind, professional, and responsive to any questions or requests. They also do a lot to give back to the community with this place so supporting them to help those endeavors is a plus. I highly recommend you stay here if you are looking for a unique experience and definitely have a chat with Cesar if you get the chance!

This place is such a gem! The furnishings are all original 19th century and have an amazing history. Caesar is a knowledgeable and gracious host. The bed was so comfortable and breakfast was delicious!! Worth every penny for this magical experience!

I just love this place and Caesar is awesome! Maria made the best breakfast. This was our second time and we cannot wait to go back. So relaxing and absolutely Stunning. Not to mention the bed is so comfortable I slept like a baby.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Great to learn about the extensive history of the house and previous owners. Had entire space to ourselves during our stay, relaxed by playing pool and use of complimentary wine bar. Great for music lovers, had a great time tinkering on the several vintage pianos on the main floor. Staff were very accommodating and breakfast was delicious! If visiting the Reading area there is no better place to stay!

We took a chance just because we happen to like bed and breakfast accommodations, and our stay here more than met our expectations. What a wonderful old mansion! Lots of clever workmanship from days gone by, including leaded stained glass windows and really cool storable shutters. Every room has a functional fireplace. The entire place is kept immaculately clean, and the owners give guests full run of the house, so it was fun to be nosy and look into all the rooms that were open, help ourselves to the bar, and play pool on the very old but well maintained pool table. Breakfast was a treat, and pleasantly different each day. If we go back to Reading for another "just for fun" road trip, we will be staying here again! I would caution anyone with a larger vehicle or SUV that the turn in to the property gate as well as the front door driveway can be a bit tight, but this is only a note and shouldn't be taken as a detractor.

We arrived and we were greeted like we have been there 1000 times before rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was fresh hot and delicious and incredible home. Incredible history incredible staff cannot wait to go back.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Gables at Stirling. The house is a magnificent view into life in the 1890s. Absolutely beautiful & comfortable. Breakfast was magnificent! Our host made us feel right at home. We were treated like royalty right up to beautiful flowers fresh cut from the garden to celebrate our anniversay. The owner also paid close attention to any dietary needs we had. We will definitely be back.

The Gables at Stirling, is not your typical B&B. The Gables is more of an "experience". A mix of history, culture and a comfortable elegance. We stayed here to attend show at the Santander (less than a 10 minute Uber ride). The Gables was such a lovely surprise, as we were not sure what to expect. We were warmly greeted by the owner himself, Cesar. Cesar went above and beyond throughout our entire stay! He provided a lovely tour of the home and grounds and was helpful with local restaurant suggestions etc.. The cherry on top, quite literally, was the amazing breakfast that awaited us the following morning! Probably my favorite part!! Before booking at a your typical, dwindling in service and cleanliness, big box hotel chains, treat yourself and book at the Gables!
