Karpathios Studios

Apart from the trek up and down the steep drive (you do get used to it), I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Karpathios. I went mid October so it wasn’t busy, had plenty of the poolside all to myself. The pool bar is decent and serves good food and good cocktails. The rooms are quite traditional, basic wet room where you have to make sure you move the toilet roll when using the shower, basic kitchen facilities but I wasn’t there to stay in my room and cook. I really enjoyed my stay, the grounds are pretty and have absolute stunning views from the balconies. I am planning on staying there again. Literally takes a few minutes to walk to the shops, restaurants and bars and 10 to the beach. I also stayed there alone and was made to feel so welcome, I really did feel safe.

Just back from a fabulous 10 day holiday. Loved Karpathios & will give you the pro's & con's as I see them to help you decide whether it is for you. PRO'S Traditional. Very laid back, chilled hotel. Lovely staff. Hardly anyone round the pool on sunbeds in October. Fabulous location with a sea view & huge picturesque mountain in background. Amazing sunsets every night. Great central location at the bottom of 'cardiac hill'. 5 mins walk to restaurants. Fantastic balcony and beautiful sea view from the 1st floor. Quite location. CON'S Beware! This hotel is up a VERY STEEP slope. Having to drag your suitcase up without help is hard work. This hotel is not for you if you suffer mobility issues. No lifts. Rooms are very basic. No TV but the 1st floor rooms have no wardrobe (just a swinging piece of rope) & no drawers to put anything in. Bathroom is more of a wet room. The toilet and toilet roll get a soaking too! Small room & more basic than we've probably ever had in Greece. However, taking everything into account and for the price we paid ... it was great! :) And in Pefkos you are able to go to other hotels and use their pools. We loved a couple of afternoons spent on four poster beds at Pefkos Blue. Would I return .... YES!

A wonderful 2 week stay in a very typical Greek hotel with a lovely charm.Excellent staff, nothing too much trouble spotlessly clean & great breakfast snacks for lunch & a great bar service x Fantastic views from all rooms Sure we will be back,very happy time

Just got home from a wonderful stay here. OK so the rooms are basic and a bit tired but typically Greek and cute and quirky and let's be honest how much time do you spend in your room. The pool area was fab and the views amazing from our balcony and the balcony was a great size. The location is fantastic with a 5 minute walk to the main drag and 10 mins to the most beautiful beach. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to return. Pefkos has the most wonderful restaurants to choose from and we had the most incredible meals. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

Arriving at 2.30am....it's still quite a shock, despite the warnings the first time you tackle the mini-Everest that is the driveway after being dropped at the bottom. To be fair, there is plenty of information on this in advance, but I'd strongly advise anyone with mobility issues to think carefully before booking. Now that's the one negative; this little studio hotel is a gem...we had a room right on the corner with panoramic views from the balcony over the village and the bay. In saying that, most of the rooms seem to be well placed for the view. Set your expectations before you arrive, this is no 5 star all inclusive resort but at the price we paid it was outstanding value, our room was clean with all the amenities promised, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the pool and bar area were more than adequate with the same fabulous views. It's a short 10 minute walk (exhausting 15 minute return) down to the main bars, restaurants and shops are and despite growing organically over the years Pefkos still holds it's charm. Big shout out to Fuse Bar on the beach road...well worth a visit or two. We will definitely return.

The room was dirty, Cutlery rusty, No cupboards wardrobes or draws just rope holding a stick with hangers on it. No hob, Dirty toaster, 2 stars not even a 1 star. The doors and windows are falling apart with rot, Having said all that the Jet2 rep moved us to a slightly better room it was still not up to much we did however have draws to put things in. Would I stay again not even if you paid me. Jet2 need to drop Karpathios Studios as it's not doing you any favours.

I will start with the Bad: Apartments are at the top of a fairly steep hill, so if you have mobility or fitness issues seriously consider staying here. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms at the top of the block, these had no real storage and the bathroom was small, showering right next to the toilet made me a touch uncomfortable! I did see one of the 3 bedroom apartments and these were larger with better bathrooms. Air conditioning and safe boxes are an extra charge, we didn't feel the need for either however although some nights did get hot even with open windows. Then the Good: We had a huge balcony with incredible views, for the money we paid it was incredible, the walk up that hill does make for great views. Rooms were very clean, cleaners came in every day. Snacks and drinks at the bar were reasonably priced, the beer in particular was excellent served in iced glasses that kept them cold for ages. The set back location meant you were only a short walk into the main ***** of restaurants but away from the noise. Pool area was a pleasant place to be, which was good because sunbed prices have gone crazy on the beaches 25 and 20 Euros for 2 beds a day in Pefkos and Lindos is much worse! Then the Great: Nikos who works the bar and reception in the day time is an absolute star and is solely responsible for turning my 3 star review into a 4 star review, he was friendly, welcoming, generous and very good at his job - he deserves a raise!!

Spent a week here with my partner & really loved it. The views are amazing, the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The decor is quirky & fun, I loved it but it may not be everyone's taste. The location is great, walking distance to everything in Pefkos including the beaches, or a bus ride to Lindos. There is a bit of a hill to walk up to the apartments, so if you have mobility issues this might be an issue, however if you are fit & healthy it should not be a problem. I would highly recommend this place, especially at the price- an absolute bargain.

We stayed at the Karpathios Studios in Pefkos for 11 nights. Room - We booked self catering. On the description of the room on Jet2 Holidays. It said there would be be cooking facilities, 2 ringed cooking stove. On arrival we noticed there wasn't any. So we asked the manager for a cooking stove. Kindly one was brought to our room by one of the maids. When we went to use the stove, on the plug end the wires could be visual seen and held together by black tape. This is a serious health & safety issue. Especially if young children were with us. There was very little cooking utensils, only 1 set of knives and forks, one frying pan, 1 plate, 1 bowl and no wood spoon or fish slice to cook with. Not very self catering friendly. In the room the kettle that was provided, when filled with water and switched on, the kettle would get to the boiling point but would not switch it's self off. You would have to flick the button your self. Once stop the handle would be scalding hot. Way to hot hold. Again dangerous if young children were around. The windows in the bathroom and in the bedroom area did not have locks on. You could open the bedroom window from outside on the balcony and easily get in. This was a problem when windy at night the windows would bang because of having no locks on. When we arrived the small bath towel on the floor had bleech stains on it. We kindly asked for it be changed. A clean one was given however 2 days later the bleach one we complained about was back in our bathroom. The pool looked amazing, however when in the pool we noticed several cracks and pieces of mortar missing. After being in the pool we noticed blue paint on our feet and other body parts, which we had to scrub off in the shower at the end of the day. The pool could of done with a clean or make over, the 11 nights we were there we never seen one staff member clean the pool.
