Gennadi Grand Resort Reviews

Was meant to come in 2023, but unfortunately, due to the wildfires had to rearrange for this year. It is most definitely a 5 star resort. From the very first moment of arriving, which due to flight delays was well past 1.30am in the morning. The gentleman at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. We were given a nice cold juice drink whilst we got checked in. Process was very easy and was told about our all-inclusive package. Then we were driven to our room in a golf buggy. Again, the man was very helpful. Showed us around the room. Once we had settled down in our room. We noticed that the hotel had laid out food for us to eat as we had missed our evening meal and was very hungry. We had 2 wraps and salad each, which was very nice and tasty. With regards to the overall holiday experience. It was an excellent trip and well worth the wait. All the staff, especially the guest relation ladies are very nice, helpful and polite. You are always treated with the most upmost respect. The spa is amazing, we had a couple candle massage which was a real treat as had never experienced anything like this before. Again, the spa manager and his staff were professional, 10/10. There is also an excellent shop in the resort, offering food and drink, clothes to souvenirs. It is very good and reasonable prices compared to going out to the shops. The room and private pool were brilliant and spacious, and everything was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The restaurants and food were very nice and there was plenty of choice from morning buffet breakfast to great lunch and dinner places whether you chose a la carte or not. The Exclusivi app was an excellent addition. Was very easy to use and could help you navigate your choices. I would highly recommend visiting Gennadi Grand Resort to anyone. It is an absolutely brilliant place to stay and visit. Excellent facilities, beautiful views and scenery. Buildings inside and outside are very well looked after. The grounds and garden areas are well maintained the gardeners. My only one critique or criticism would be the fact that there weren't many English speaking TV channels or with them being smart TVs not having youtube or netflix already on them. This is our 2nd visit to this resort, it is soo relaxing hence our return. I would like to mention a couple of the staff who went above and beyond Aristeidis being one of them you needed anything he would sort it for you Mikki, Daniella, Anna, and the lassie from the wet bar they certainly worked to look after you and make sure everything was good for you well done. We stayed in room 3107 for 2nd time fabulous room perfect view The hotel made sure my birthday was celebrated well thank you. We used the Italian restaurant a couple of times and the buffet restaurant but as previously commented some of bainmarie food was only warm or cold did point out to Aristeidis and he looked into it. We will be back again in the near future. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is the place to go. Thank you.

Perfect location, perfect 5* hotel, wonderful staff that helped make our honeymoon absolutely wonderful. We chose to have our own pool and so glad we did as the temperatures were 43’c most of the week. We loved it so much, we booked to go back for a fortnight in 12 months time, on day 4 of our holiday

Many thanks for the memorable time we spent in Rhodes, but more importantly, the amazing time my wife and I had at the Gennadi Grand Resort. Immediately from the time we arrived (early hours) we were made to feel welcome, and then we were escorted to our room (3006), a Junior Suite with Private Pool & Sea View which was beyond our expectation. When we woke up later that morning the pool and sea view was fantastic, wow! There are so many staff, who worked very hard, all around the hotel that made our time at this hotel a "holiday to remember", all the staff are amazing and really gave us a brilliant time at the hotel. We went all inclusive plus which enable us to book, without additional cost, at the Steak House and the OYZO taverna on site. There was plenty of choice at the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and at lunchtime we ate at the Wet Bar by the pool. All the entertainment was fab around the pool & in the Grand Bar in the evenings. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel which we use a couple of times to take us into Lindos to see the Acropolis, and snorkel at St Pauls Bay. One evening we went to the Astronomy Night where Stratos Koufos gave a very informative talk on the stars and universe. Everyone delivered amazing customer service, so my wife and I hope to return sometime in the future, but thanks again to you all for a fabulous holiday.

Beautfull resort for copples and have a relaxing time with your private pool, delicious restaurants and super friendly crew. The rooms are huge and have a nice private pool with all details that you can wish. For dinner you have a huge buffet but for sure sure try the a la carte Steakhouse which is amazing! Beach and a lot of pools and also nice you can order via the app your drink that will be delivered at your bed on the pool or on the beach Thanks for the lovely holliday!

My friend and I have just returned from 10 nights at GGR (our second visit). I am very lucky to be well travelled and consider this one of the best resorts I have stayed in. If you are aiming for a relaxing, special holiday, look no further. I also rarely go back to the same place twice and am already considering a third holiday here. We arrived late and were welcomed with a glass of bubbles and delicious chicken salad wraps in our room as the restaurants were closed. This was hugely appreciated. Rooms- clean, modern, perfect. Beds and pillows v comfy. We opted for a garden view, private pool room which we do not regret. I actually emailed in advance to request a specific block and this was honoured on arrival. Lili our housekeeper was great and left us some flowers, and a bottle of bubbly on a couple of occasions. Thank you Lili! The entire resort is well kept and spotless. Food and drink- buffet excellent and wide variety of choice to suit everyone. The presentation of the food for a buffet was excellent. We dined in all the a la cartes and they were all delicious. Wet bar by main pool also fab. An excellent choice of cocktails, the bramble was our favourite. Pools- always a choice of sunbeds. We stayed by the main pool or the relax pool and back to our room pool for the afternoon sun. Lunchtime live music around the pool was great- saxophonist giving Ibiza vibes was one of our favourites. Nice addition this time round of the hotel app Xclusive on our phones, which made ordering lunch or cocktails to our sunbed was a lovely treat. Also book your a la cartes through the app too. Very easy. Beach- pebbly, sea shoes a good idea. Nice addition of the caravan type bar and bean bags down there to watch the world go by. Spa- welcoming staff and excellent choice of treatments. We both had a signature massage and it was great. Facilities are award winning and you can see this is deserved. Extras- we opted for a floating breakfast one morning as we were celebrating my birthday. It's an additional 140E and an extravagant treat but it was exceptional and so much fun. I would recommend it if you're looking for something extra special. Last but not least the staff- all kind, friendly and welcoming. Special shout outs to Penia in the grand bar, Costas in Ble/Ouzo, Paris who seemed to look after us everywhere (!) and Giannis (front of house). They went above and beyond and are a credit to the hotel. Penia had actually met my parents when they came here on holiday a few weeks prior and she was looking out for me on this trip, I was greeted like family. The team go above and beyond to make your stay fabulous and nothing is too much- thank you team! We also took the bus to Lindos one evening for dinner. The bus stop is out the front of hotel and costs a few euros. Taxi back 35E. I would thoroughly recommend Mythos for dinner too- owner George is fab and remembered us from our last trip. Great greek food. We also did a sunset horse ride booked

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service that we received was so attentive the staff was so friendly kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I strongly recommend that you take the all inclusive option the food you could not fault the choices you could not fault the staff you could not fault. We had an absolutely beautiful stay at this beautiful hotel and we will be returning again I highly recommend anybody looking to stay in Rhodes to stay at hotel you will not be disappointed.

The service from the get go was very poor! We had to sit in reception for 30mins before being taken to our room! We had a junior suite with private pool which was beautiful but water was freezing. Same as the main pool beautiful but freezing! Food and drinks were horrid, cocktails tasted as if they was made from cordial and food selection was poor in buffet! Service overall is very slow and you are waiting a while to be served and receive your drinks. Pool/beach snack bar was the best food we ate while here

This is the second visit to this wonderful resort and I wrote a long and detailed 5* review last year, could they maintain or even improve on that first visit? Well, the fact we are returning again next year would suggest they did; indeed it could not have been more perfect. The communication with Georgia in reservations as we planned our stay and at the last minute had our son join us for a few days was faultless and completely set our mind at rest that all would run smoothly. The hotel even honoured our request that we had the same suite, it works sunwise for us, and it's these little things that set GGR apart. We were very touched that many of the staff remembered us as we walked around the first couple of days and it felt like we had never been away; my cynical side says Client Management systems are wonderful things for people to make you feel better but I do not think there was any of that here! I could roll out an entire cast list for all the people who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and valued but several really stood out. From the greeting at reception, the Guest Relations team Anna and Christina, who always had the answer and constantly smiled as they worked out what the answer was. The F&B Director Panos has bought together a really effective leadership team. Michales, Aris, Konsta are really outstanding in their style and attention to detail. All the Al a carte restaurants are excellent and the Endesma fine dining (paid option) and the suite breakfast are well worth while. STK is our favourite evening place and Alex who we met last year is an awesome host with his colleagues, Christina in the Fine dining was so knowledgeable and engaging, she also met us for breakfast and lunches and was the epitome of calm and focus on guests. All the staff at the wet bar were superb as was the little caravan bar on the beach, great slushies! However, Dinos and Pennia in the Grand bar in the evenings were so wonderful, chatty friendly but efficient and wonderful; Dinos can mix a mean cocktail. He was excellent at suggesting little twists and making special requests. I think the room design here is excellent and we loved sitting by our pool and chilling, it is more private than one might expect. The cleaner was like a silent angel, we'd be reading on the deck and didn't hear a thing until she appeared to sweep outside such a lovely person. In summary, I can find no fault with any aspect of our stay and cannot wait to return

Woww! Amazing hotel! The kozeen spa is the best spa ever! Everything was clean and beautiful, Alexandros was so kind and professional! We did a deep tissue massage and it was amazing , the team was so professional and nice! We had the best time there Thank you so much!

We had high hopes for this trip and despite it being called a 5 star it is absolutely not, maybe 3/4 star at best? Private pool and sea view room with strange room configuration. Bathroom drain smells foul with no way to air out. Sea view blocked by huge piles of dirt and sea is not close and a beach bar at the end of the “private” pool. Main pool noisy and busy so we tended to hide in our room for the entire stay. All inclusive is only for certain options and only 1 time in each restaurant other than buffet. Also doesn’t cover all drinks. Make sure you look at menu and be sure yours is included before ordering. Again not a 5 star experience. We had an issue with the sunbeds in room as it was obvious they were taken from the main pool not matching all other in our block. The front desk totally ignored me but my husband the following day was listening to and they were swapped with the empty room next door. The rooms have no sound proofing so it is extremely loud at night from the music. If you want a relaxing trip I unfortunately recommend to book elsewhere.

This was our second time at the resort in Gennadi in a year.We had an amazing time, everything was spectacular, amazing food , great entertainment and beautiful rooms , We opted for the room with pool and sea view . It was just so relaxing . Also the service from the bar staff and waiters was fantastic, very attentive. We will be back for our 3rd stay hopefully next year.
