Guests enjoy a good breakfast selection, spacious rooms with sea views, and exceptional cleanliness. The friendly staff and beachfront location near Rhodes Town add to the experience, though some find the air conditioning confusing and some rooms outdated.

Lovely hotel with good food/drinks. I came as a young solo female traveller and was made to feel very comfortable by everyone at the hotel and even got an upgraded room on the highest floor which felt very safe. Would definitely come back.

I am currently staying at this hotel, a family holiday, all adults. I’ve been in numerous hotels, on an all inclusive basis, and visited the hotel next door to the Avra Beach a few years ago. And wanted to give this hotel a try. Here are my thoughts so far. A lot of good points, but also silly, easy fixed negatives. Reception staff are friendly enough on approach to desk, helpful and have quickly fixed a couple of minor issues in our room. However, coming in and out of area/ main door, you are never acknowledged with a hello, or even a smile. There always seem to be 2 or 3 of them huddled round the same pc screen. The hotel is kept impeccably clean by an army of cleaners, however, toilets in public area do not seem to be cleaned or bins emptied during daylight hours. Also, toilets in reception are as expected decor wise, but other public toilets seem unorganised (hand dryer behind door ?) and are all a bit unfinished as all just concrete walls with no flooring or tiling anywhere. Saying that, no shortage of toilets and well placed throughout hotel. Rooms. We have 4 rooms in our family, 3 in the new extension which are open plan, slightly cramped but pleasant and comfortable. However, there are no hooks for towels anywhere, very little hangers (4) and not a lot of drawer space. The 3 in new part are all overlooking a roofed courtyard with no outdoor privacy and no natural light. Also, no hanging areas for any wet towels , swimsuits etc. One room is located in the older area of hotel. This room is more spacious, has all the necessary storage and towel hooks etc, but is very tired in decor . We did ask to change to sea view, this is at a cost of 32 euros per night. Too expensive in our eyes. Food / Drink: The food choice is without a doubt, very good, plentiful and delicious. Although, as some other reviews state, sometimes lukewarm. Drinks are local based alcohol and juices, equally as nice and servers always very pleasant. However! The dining room, is very, very busy and the acoustics when busy, are horrible. Very loud, lots of clattering and somehow, not very organised with layouts of dishes. Most definitely not a relaxing area to eat, and unfortunately this ruins the experience of the delicious food. Also, there is no outside dining area attached to main restaurant, so no getting away from the noise. The bar snack selection offered between meals and until midnight is local Greek fayre, again delicious . The pizza & Italian beach bars are a godsend. A completely different a**osphere and excellent alternative to the noisy dining room, it’s open daily 11.30-17.30 and well worth a visit. Swimming pool is well located and not overly busy due to the hotel being located on a superb shingle beach. Sun-loungers are plentiful, we have never had an issue either by the pool or the beach, but it is still early in the season so this might be different mid summer. The hotel operates a strict “no towel on the lounger to reserve” policy. It’

Great place! Definitely worth going to for family holidays weather wasn’t the best but was still around the 20’s. Workers were very nice. Fun activities in the day for adults and children.Recommend going to the Old Town although not much to do except for looking in shops. Museum is a decent day out in the old town too.Swimming pool on site but pretty cold (don’t know if it’s warmer in summer holidays) entertainment past 9:00 PM so not very good for little ones.Spa on site but fairly expensive. Bingo at 9:30 PM on some days with all sorts of prizes like:champagne, personalized animation t-shirts, 20 minute spa experience and lots more! Definitely would go again.

What a lovely hotel! We stayed for a week and were blown away by the staff, facilities, food and the area. We came early April as we didn’t want it to be too hot or busy- it was perfect! Lovely food with lots of choices and snacks all day! Lovely cocktails with many to choose from, with great bar staff. Rooms cleaned daily with lovely housekeeping staff! The hotel has a mini market in which was super helpful. Overall a brilliant experience thanks so much!!

Amazing 10 days here with my daughter. We go away a lot, BnB and All inclusive. One of the best AI i have been to, food is very good for the price. Location is outstanding right on the beach. Italian/greek restaurant is lovely. Main thing here is the staff. Animation team all so good at their job and friendly, will miss them all esp Tony and George and Pawel the lifeguard. Bar staff, waiters etc. Great team, keep it up and see you again soon. Chris and Lacey

Our week at Avra Beach was a last minute booking with Jet 2, on an all inclusive basis. The whole Jet 2 experience from booking, check in, flight and transfers was done with professionalism, friendliness and ease. We will now, in future put Jet 2 to the top of our list when looking to book holidays again. Avra beach was booked with no prior research so we had no expectations of either good or bad things. The hotel is clean and the staff are both welcoming and friendly. Our room which we upgraded on arrival had some oddities. Mainly the shower and toilet are side by side and only had a sliding door that enclosed one or the other but not both.(If privacy is a requirement for you whilst carrying out ablutions then this set-up doesn't bode well) We where right next to the pool and the room was noisy all day. This didn't really bother us as we where out most of the time. It did quieten down in the evenings so we did sleep well. The drinks where on tap from from soft drinks too local beers and wines in various areas and also served to you at the bars along with local spirits and cocktails. The unexpected highlight for us was the quality of the food. The main buffet restaurant had great choice and had themed eating every evening. This included lovely lamb, beef, chicken, pork and turkey dishes along with good fish. They have to try and cater for several different nationalities but they turned out a varied and substantial menus at every sitting. The satellite eateries where also really good. The Greek and Italian serving foods like gyros, moussaka, pizzas, salads through out the day and the snack bar was also excellent serving a whole range of fayre from sandwiches and savouries to cakes and ice cream. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Avra beach and we would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in Rhodes.

Good stay at avra beach especially the entertainment team, we had a great time with Mike and Emilia. Al the others of the entertainment team were great. Always full of energy and they had fun tings to do during the day and in the evening. They organized things like a bingo and my personal favorite the karaoke.

Just home from a fabulous holiday here. Like all reviews, all staff were amazing, going above and beyond. Food was to a really high standard and lots of choice with themed nights. Hotel and rooms were immaculate. The sides of hotel blocks get sun first thing/afternoon and have sea views. The hairdresser on site was amazing and gave an exceptional cut and trea**ent, highly recommend to get done there. A handful of shops close to hotel or Lylsos close by, though old and new town 10 mins bus away are a must. The hotel does a return run hourly (book) for about €12 adult. I can’t really fault anything. The sun loungers were a bit uncomfortable for my back and would have been better with padded mats, though there are gorgeous loungers in front of main restaurant and more are planned if you’re lucky to get them. Tips - take swim shoes with you or buy there for the pebbled sea. Kids of all nationalities barge in between food and the cake area is the worst for them getting food on you.
