The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The boss is also good. I forgot to take the beer out of the refrigerator when I left. I hope the boss will help me collect it. I will drink it next time I live. Haha! Room 7 Just left today

We arrived at the hotel around 5pm - busy time on the road, and it is a pretty busy road (though quieted down after rush hour). The hotel is in a residential area, not too far from the Arena, but not any shops/restaurants right nearby. One could walk to these places - about 20 minutes away, but I wouldn't be that keen at night even though the owner said the area was very safe. The owner got us quickly checked in. She didn't offer any milk or give us the wifi like all the other motels we've ever stayed in, but otherwise she was friendly and efficient. Our room (#10) was upstairs, about halfway back. I was a bit worried about the noise (i'm a super light sleeper), but once we were in the room it was quiet. The space is small (we had a queen bed 1bdroom?) and a bit weirdly laid out, but very clean - which was really the most important thing. There was a closet with iron/board/ extra pillows and blankets which is always great, and a tiny fridge for snacks. The bed was clean and comfy, nice and dark too with the curtains closed and door shut. The bathroom was tidy, nice to have small shampoo/conditioner, and the water pressure was spot on. We couldn't find any details in the book about wifi, we ended up going to the office and getting it as I tried calling from the room and it just kept ringing out. Don't know the issue - she was in the office. She said there was a 'white paper with the wifi code written on it' in the room - finally found it in the bedroom. Overall a good, quick 1 night stay.

Good enough motel for an evening or two stay. The rooms are decent, they have a microwave and kettle with a selection of some teas and coffee. The rooms also have sky tv with a good range of channels. Very handy if you wish to visit the Riccarton Westfield mall or if you are travelling on the Trans Alpine.

We had confirmed bookings via Agoda for 2 nights at this motel, for 2 adults and our 2 young grandchilden. On attempting to check in the person in the office said we had a booking for one night only for 2 people. This person said she would not honour the bookng as she did not trust Agoda. After a very long and almost heated debate we phone agoda. They were amazing and contacted the motel while we waited on the phone. This office person would still not honour the booking even after talking to Agoda. Agoda ensured that the motel would not be charging us. Fantastic service from Agoda, but be warned, don;t ever go near Annabelle Court Motel. The person in reception should not be in the hospitality industry.

DATE OF TRAVEL: July 2023 Stayed here for 10 days on a business trip. Room and bathroom was great but the beds are awful. They are not attached to a bed head and are an ensemble base only so they move around. I had a better sleep in a motel in Timaru, which is a shame because working 10 hour days, staying in a 5* hotel, one would think you'd sleep like a baby. Fortunately the shower's high pressure and the bath were great, Apart from that, the hotel grounds is beautiful with ample parking. My room had a veranda which I liked to sit on and watch the traffic go by. I had requested a microwave so as to meal prep due to my diabetes and this was in there prior to check in which was great. Hotel is just around the corner from a heap of restaurants and Westfield Ricccarton and right next to Hagley Park which was great for a morning walk. In room dining was fine, nothing special. I tried the breakfast buffet in the restaurant on the Saturday and it was lacklastre. Didn't end up going back. Plenty of cafes around anyway. All up, I rate my stay there 4*. The facilities were great, the requests were met eagerly and the bathroom was fantastic. The room itself is really well appointed but the bed is awful which detracts a star. I'd stay there again with my wife though, maybe bring some *****s to attach to the bed legs to stop them from moving around though!
