A beautiful location next to the Rock River is the best feature of the hotel. The room was large and had a mini refrigerator and microwave. The wifi worked well and there was coffee in the lobby. The front desk is not staffed 24 hours and the rooms are not cleaned every day, but neither is my house, haha. There is a bank and two restaurants sharing the parking lot but otherwise nothing is available within walking distance. A quick five minute drive gets you to anywhere in town.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Paddle Wheel Inn. The Inn was clean and the staff were lovely. It was located beside the river and is very picturesque, there is a lovely outside seating area right next to the river. I was extremely impressed and will certainly stay there again when in the area.

I’ve stayed here many times. It gets the job done. Make sure to get a room on the river view side.

Check in was quick and easy. We were upgraded at no additional cost. When we had problems with the TV remote it was handled quickly and courteously. Rooms were ample size and beds were very comfortable. There is a restaurant right next door which is great if you want to partake.

It's a comfortable property. We have actually stayed twice, this most recent trip we felt our hallway smelled like someone had been smoking. Last time and on another floor we didn't experience this and had no issues, so overall recommend this property. A good value and a pretty area.

Very convenient to the town and nearby Nuchusa Prairie. Check in was easy and the proximity to the river was relaxing.

Big value in a small town near lakes of northwestern Illinois. This was a last minute reservation when other plans fell through. Found it pleasant and peaceful after a stressful time. Rustic but in the right way.
