We've stayed at this cozy and delightful hotel twice (2018 and 2022). Though it was originally built in the 1500s, it offers every modern amenity you need. It truly surpassed all of my expectations. The hotel is located within the old city walls and is within walking distance of everything. On our first trip, it was cold and rainy while we were there, so the convenience was really nice. It the Klosterstuble offers an ideal location for winter travel. We have booked the standard double room, as well as the junior suite. Our junior suite (on the top floor) was very modern and included a kitchenette and small sitting area. Our corner standard double room (room 3!) overlooked a church, the city walls, and a bit of the countryside. It was absolutely perfect for the two of us. The room is classic and traditional furnishing and decor. The beds are comfortable with separate duvet covers, as well as an additional blanket in the winter. We found our room to be perfectly warm and cozy. If we got too warm, we opened the window. The bathroom offers a stand up shower and a single sink. The water pressure was very good. There are no elevators. You can purchase a city parking pass from the hotel and park within the old city walls for 10 euro/day. They also offer breakfast for an additional 10 euro/day. The staff is remarkably warm and kind. They provided great information about the parking so we knew exactly where to go when we arrived. The Klosterstuble offers an incredibly comfortable stay at a great value.
